I never thought about Icy hot. Ok. I'll bring some and see if it will work. Thanks for the tips. I'm loading up on whole weat carbs and water. I'm going to buy a few gallons of gatorade.

My meals are going to be ham sandwiches withh whole wheat bread. It has complex carbs so I dont burn it too quickly. Various fruits for sweet foods and good source of carbs. E1.gif

Lot's of gatorade, definately. Water is also good too because I'm taking power gel and power goo(carb-enriched energy booster). It tastes like crap, but my stomach is good with it. Maybe the bad taste will help me stay awake. E4.gif

Listerine Strips to keep me awake E15.gif

Thats my diet for the next 3 days goog.gif

I'm also thinking about bringing my sunglasses and see if they help so it darkens everything and it wont strain my eyes too much. I'm not too sure about this, I dont wear glasses, but I might get reading classes tomorrow. What do you think??

I'm definately brining a camcorder and my camera to take log of the event. Unfortunately I dont have a webpage so I cant post it online, but I'll try to find a way to get ppls to see it

BTW, I'm 17 and derek is I think 15, so no drinking, but I'll have a party afterwards!

DAYUM!!! 40 hours, hey it's for a good cause right? Well, I wish you guys luck and keep the groove alive. Although I have one idea, you should have some friends that will be your beverage/food/towel/extra shoe or shorts gophers. I mean, 40 hours, almost 2 whole days, you know you gotta have a water here and there, a power bar, to get some food in your system, and when your clothes get too sweaty or too funky smelling, you gotta change...just some food for though...

good luck...

You should send me your address so that I can give you a pledge. I say go for it. Don't let little black letters on a computer screen stop you.

I dont think people understand how hard it is just to do easy for 40 hours. Also they said you cant repeat the song within 4 hours, so that would mean they would have to go on a higher level. The longest ive did it for was for 3 hours nonstop. No breaks, i seriously wish you good luck. Also, a track runner could not run for 40 hours not matter how much he wanted to. Its impossible, the amount of movement involved, the breathing, and the nutrients... You have to take all of that into consideration. However if he was playing ddr, that is different. But since im pretty sure you have to pass all the songs you play, the runner wouldnt be able to do it. There is just so much involved, you really dont think about all of it at just one time. Anyway, if anybody
disagrees with me, please post. I love hearing the comments that posts like mine make.

first off, what mix is he playing? let's assume for the moment that it's extreme. now, i don't know how many songs there are on an extreme machine, but i do know that it's over 200. 200 songs X 90 seconds each = 18000 seconds = 300 minutes = 5 hours. he could easily play every song on beginner and then repeat without having to move up a difficulty level.

also, a track runner is constantly moving. on beginner, movement is nowhere near constant (however, the track runner has momentum on his side...)

i know i've asked this before, but nobody seems to be answering, so i'll ask again; is somebody going to be posting progress on ddrfreak? i'd be really interested in an up-to-date notification system or even a live webcast if it can be arranged.

EDIT: I talked to one of my friends, who does run track, and she said that playing DDR is much harder than running because it's more complex.

"Also they said you cant repeat the song within 4 hours, so that would mean they would have to go on a higher level."

It'd still be the same songs, but with diff steps if you went up to a higher level...
And anyway, what about the extremely easy lights? Bag, AtGoL, Orion 78, I could go on and on... (5.1.1)
Heck, 5.1.1. little has 52 steps in it (51+1).

I tried to beat the record last year and I only had 16 hours to go and I pasted out for like 20 hours
I will never do that again because I had such a headache and I had to go to the doctor and not go to school for a half of a week.
