So, I am browsing. And all of a sudden I hear.
"Hi, my name is Tina and in a few short minutes, I can show you how to get your college degree."
It was the banner at the top of the page. One of those audio ad-banners, obviously. Tina needs to go to vampirefreak.com or something (meaning, can we get rid of that one?) _________________

I wouldn't call it a "serious problem." More like an "undesirable ad". It hardly counts as spyware/popup, but if you're annoyed by it, I can ask them to take that ad down. _________________

Hrm.
Well, at the time I was basing that off a few different things.
A friend of mine doesn't have spyware on his computer, and I was at his house yesterday.
Not one, but TWO ads came up on the first page load, and at least one after that each time.
Louie (in the spyware stickey) says the problem stopped for him but... I have proof for myself that it happens.
I forgot to check the banners too >_>.
Not to mention on of them was pop-UNDER as far as I could tell. _________________

You know, I've been having problems with pop-ups lately on this site.
Also, I am able to type a few words at a time, but the computer freezes for a second, and then I can type a few more words and then it freezes again and then it let me type again.
EDIT: I wonder if this has to do anything with the pop-ups..... _________________

I use Firefox and don't have any of these problems =P
I have ads that show, but never any weird, creepy, or pop up ads.
Maybe it's my wooden leg. _________________

I'd say the eyepatch is obscuring your field of vision. |

Download an extension called "AdBlock", it'll allow you to block the flash ads as well as the image ads. |

There's an adblock for all versions of Mozilla (firefox included). I'm not using FireFox 9.0 (doesn't work on my computer), but just search mozilla.org for the word "extensions" and download it from there. |

Yeah, I'm not bothered by any of the ads (no popups, etc etc) and so I leave them on just because then it gives money to the site. If any of them did bug me, I'd do that. I have it set that way on my laptop, so I don't see any ads anywhere.
Although actually I think I just downloaded a host file or something, instead of an extension. _________________

Like JDogg said. I didn't find this to be either. That's why Tina got her own thread.
It just freaks me out when you don't expect some woman speaking out of your browser. _________________

Really? I thought the site didn't get money unless someone clicked the ad. |

Well, can't click the ad if the ad isn't there _________________
