Do you get Mocked or Made fun of while playin DDR????

i was just wondering if its at other arcades or other arcades..at your arcade or whereever you play at, do you have people that DONT Mock or Make fun of you while you play DDR..at my arcade people dont make fun of others..even if they dont play the game..i dont know if its because we are that good..but people dont make fun of us they watch and end up bein amazed..i mean i have been lauphed at cuz i feel of the pad..but people didnt make fun of me they gave me pointers so it wouldnt happen again..and sure enough it didnt..well just wondering if its only my arcade that people arnt asses..so just tell me what the people at your acade are like..asses or kool..

I love drunks because they will sometimes give you money when you play and then they try to play and make fun of each other when they fail.Ohhh DDR machine at a bar is the best.

Everyone at my favorite arcade is either a DDR player or someone who doesn't give a damn what you play and leaves you alone. But at the larger arcades where the jerks and wannabes and plastic people go, sometimes they give me flak for playing DDR.

Happens all the time but were I play there are like 10 players like everyday so they just crowd the person and if there smart they leave.
Or the jump on with me when I am choosing a style so I choose Versus and they dont do to well.

I normally don't mind crowds because I like to show. I just hate when people ask me questions like "How do you play?", "How long have you been playing?", "Do you have the game at home?", "And how much money do you spend?", etc. I've tried answering all these questions so many times for people but now it's just a pain in the a.ss. The only time I wanna be alone is when I'm trying hard to PA a song, people cause just to many distractions. There's all these people watching and staring at me. I especially hate kids that have no common sense. There's these retarded parents that let their kids run around loose w/out supervision. These kids will try to play hopscotch on the arrows next to you, talk to you in the middle of a song, or try to actually jump on the pad you're using, therefore causing me to fail because the kid is too d.amn stupid to GET HELL OFF!

I know about those damn kids. I swear one day I'm just gonna kick one of them in the head. It may cause death but the retard deserved it. Back before my ddr gamage, I was introduced to it by these 2 bastards who mocked the game before they even played it. I tried the game and they kept putting their foot on the next arrow that I would have to step on. Of course I failed cuz 1) they distracted me and 2) It was my first time playing, but I was still pissed that they purposely tried to mess me up and that they were making fun of a game they never even tried. Since then I never saw those guys again.

at our arcade it's pretty cool, mainly older people hangout there. Sometimes when people start doing tricks a large crowd of about 30 people gathers and cheers them on, it's really cool

At the two DDR machines in my town the crowds are mainly just people saying "I wonder how they play that so good?"

my arcade has been decent so far, but it does get pretty annoying when little unsupervised fat kids jump on the pad next to you and think that they are playing with you, when all they do is make you offbeat. It's kind of cool too because I talk to everybody at the arcade that's been playing, and its cool because its not like its a stingy group of people, they're all really cool guys. Alot of parents get really into it too, like while they're kids are all playing the shooting games and stuff, alot of parents come and watch people play DDR, which is cool cuz they think I'm a legend when I can only do 7-footers with a C

at my arcade(fox valley mall, aurora) there is almost nobody there including workers. I basically have the whole place to my self. Sometimes people walking by will stand and watch. Once a couple of ppl came in and watched me do matsuri japan and jet set world. As i got done a girl was talking with her boyfriend(i presume) and she said"that looks like a good way to work out"

They do try. But, being the assshole that I am, I have fun with these people...

If someone gets on the pad while I'm playing, I tell them to get off. If they don't, they get pushed. And it doesn't matter who you are. I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs. and I've pushed a ghetto thug-wannabe off the pad more than once. And they will stay off if you make it known that you will beat the crap out of them..

If someone talks to me while I'm playing, either I'll respond or tell them to shut the hell up, usually the latter. Everyone gets the hint after awhile. And if they don't, I'm a fan of slapping people on the back of the head, restating my point.

I make fun of them back as well. I'm pretty good at being an assshole, so I can enjoy having fun with people.

well at this place i usualy go thats basicly a card shop with couple old school machines like galaga and other stuff. And then theres the ddr machine where ur not made fun of cuz basicly every one plays it.

but if im at this mall and play ddr there, a bunch of ghetto kids will come up and start trash talking

I was at the nickel arcade, waiting for my turn when a really fast guy got on and his friends were like go faster *****! When I got on they were all this is a waste of time, let's go dude, look's like a turtle. I was doing Matsuri Japan on standard mode( got a b)! I was embarassed!!

But that was a one time thing, nobody really trash talks out loud.

I have no problems at all at a local mall arcade. The employees play DDR, so they usually watch us regs when they're working. Whenver someone comes in and makes fun or trys to mess us up, the employees kick them out.

So far, every place I've gone has been pretty friendly. I get compliments from the people who don't play, questions from the beginners, and tips from the experts. The only thing that annoys me is when people say that I have no life, or too much time on my hands. Because I do have a life. And so what if I've got some time on my hands? At least I'm doing something fun that makes me happy, unlike potheads who do nothing. Usually, the most common stuff I hear is, "Dude, he's insane on this thing," "Wow, I could never do that," "How do you do that?"
