How to UNLOCK songs on DrumMania PS2

I have a question that I was not able to find an answer for in the search or Stickies. If this has already been posted I apoligize.

A few days ago I purchased DrumMania. The "1st Mix" (?) DrumMania. The one that comes with the official Konami Drum Set. Well, I've been playing and playing and have not opened any of the new songs. I can see them, unhilighted, but that's about it. They're unplayable. If someone could please tell me how to unlock more songs, I would truely appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

think all you gotta do to unlock songs is once you play through your first song, a few more show up and are availible to play. same with after playing through your second song. takin from gamefaqs:

Yeah, the greyed out songs are ones that will be available on stage 2 or 3.

Also, there are 5 Session-only songs that you can "unlock" for Free mode. Then you can set the guitar player to Auto and play them yourself.

Jet World
Body Operation
Holiday
Mr. Machine
The Adventures

Just find a friend to play with, and play these 5 in Session mode. Then you'll be able to choose them in Free mode (select Session and set guitar to Auto).
