shouldn't you be stomping on arrows instead of trolling around a forum complaining that people aren't doing things to your exact specifications?
damn people have some serious attitude issues around here. It's no wonder that most people don't like DDR fanatics. |

Name: Michael (friends call me Miku)
Sex: yes please (*cough* male)
Age: 17
orientation: bi. hard to say exactly to what degree, but usually it feels kind of like 1/3rd gay, 2/3rds straight... or maybe more like 40/60
appearance: blue eyes, red hair, err like 5' 10"? Iono, not good with heights. 115-120ish pounds.
DDR skill level: can pass all single 10 footers except maxx unlimited, psmo, and legend of max (still only make it like halfway through them T_T), working on getting better at double. Also kind of into drum mania and para para, but there aren't any machines near me...
other interests: music, video games, remixing / arranging, anime...
*single and looking*
Yeah... |

Guys/Gals/Intersexuals,
Don't feed the trolls. If a queer basher speaks up, the best solution is to le their hate fall on dead ears.
Miku, I gotta' say, that's one of the most interesting names I've heard, as far as nicknames go. Did you get it from Japanese or do you just like moogle names from Final Fantasy so much? Actually, one of my Japanese friends from high school's name was Miku, but she was a girl. However, considering the content of this thread, I suppose anything endogenous goes. _________________

It's sorta an interesting story I s'pose. I made this friend named Deborah, and me, her, and several other friends were hanging out at Anime Expo 2003 last year. A J-Rock band called Duel Jewel played, and afterward they were signing autographs, and they were telling you if you wanted it personalized, to be holding a card with your name on it. Deb wasn't able to be there during the autograph signing session, so our friend Xabbu (that one's a whole other story) got the autograph for her. He didn't remember how to spell Deborah, so he wrote Deb on the card. Two of the members of Duel Jewel (being Japanese) were like, giggling and saying "debu?" when they read the card (because of the way the pronunciation/spelling system works in Japanese, deb becomes debu, and debu means 'chubby'). So that nickname stuck for her, we all call her Debu now.
And she decided to start calling me Miku to give me a similar nickname... and it happens to be a girl's name. =x I dun mind though, I'm sort of the feminine type anyway.
And to xphoguytonyx: I kinda agree, I think this post should be more like "GLBT and straight DDRers who don't hate each other" or something. heh
I'm also wondering what a trisexual is. |

Oh, do they now? Last time I went to GnS was over a year ago... back when they had a DDR 3rd mix machine and a PIU machine.
Heh, know of any Para machines near me? xP |

Ok, some definition time.
Transsexual: This is one of two things.
Transvestite: A person who dresses of the opposite gender.
Transgender: A person who actually gets an operation on one's genitalia actually physically become of the opposite gender. While ones' chromosomes will always be the same, dress, genitalia, mannerisms, etc. Make a lot of transsexual people feel they have become of the opposite gender.
Intersexual: Often called hermaphrodite. This is one of three things
XY Female / XX Male: A person that was born with one set of chromosomes, but has the genitalia of the opposite sex. For example, a girl that develops too much testosterone while inside her mother will grow a penis, but have XX chromosomes. Some peoples of Puerto Rico have boys that produce too much estrogen. These boys have vaginas, but no uterus; later in life, usually during puberty, these boys' clitorises develop into full penises, and testicles develop as well.
XO: Neither born male nor female. Jamie Lee Curtis is XO. She takes female hormones, and for all practical intents and purposes, is a female.
XX-XY / Mesh Chromosome : A person that has some cells with XX and some with XY. These people have both genital organs. A person that appears male may have an ordinary looking penis, but on the underside of the penis, have an opening than can be penetrated, much like a vagina.
Trisexual: A person that is attracted to males, females, and intersexuals.
Personally, I consider some Intersexuals very attractive. I would consider myself trisexual, but I mostly introduce myself as bi. _________________

most transexuals take offence in being grouped with transvesties (as do many transvesties) for a varity of reasons and their is absolutly no non-cricumstancual evidence that jaime lee curtus is an XO she has refused to answer the question as have all relations who could know (inculdeing her doctor) _________________

As far as I remember...
Transsexuals are people who think they are the opposite sex of what they were born with. E.g., the person was born XY, and has all the male organs, but still identifies with being a female. Transgender people are a subset of this group, as they have acted out their beliefs and actually *became* the opposite sex, mentally as well as physically.
Transvestites maintain their sexual identity, but they just like to dress up as the opposite sex. E.g., a person was born XY, has all the male organs, identifies himself as a male, but likes to dress up in women's clothing. _________________

The author(s) of Queers and Allies Dictionary wrote: | Trans
a catch-all term for anyone crossing gender or sex boundaries (transgender, transsexual, transvestite, etc.). Capitalized when referring to the community in general by those who view it as an ethnic designation similar to African American or Jewish.
transfag
a gay FTM
transgender(ed) or TG
1) anyone who crosses gender boundaries, including, but not limited to, transsexuals and transvestites.
2) a person who lives mostly or completely in the gender not associated with their birth sex, but who does not identify as a transsexual.
transsexual or TS
a person whose birth sex is viewed by hir as incorrect or incompatible with hir image of hirself, and who takes steps (including but not limited to physical and/or hormone therapy, and surgery) to make hir outer self match hir self-identification.
transvestite or TV
anyone who regularly dresses in clothing associated with the opposite gender or sex. Some people cross-dress for pleasure; others have other reasons. A Trans person is often considered a transvestite by mainstream culture, while s/he hirself may find hir clothing perfectly suitable for one with hir self-image.
tryke
a contraction of transsexual and dyke, meaning a male to female transsexual who is a lesbian.
Turner's syndrome
relatively rare condition, characterized by the presence of one unmatched X chromosome (XO), in which the affected individual has normal female external genitals, but their internal reproductive strudtures do not develop fully. |

I really think your definition of "sex" is way too broad. There are 2 sexes, Male and Female, and then there are genetic mutations, and then there are variations of psycological sexual identity. I really don't think you get the liberty to call each of them "sexes"... _________________

The author(s) of Queers and Allies Dictionary wrote: | sex
biological/physical plumbing or XX or XY chromosomes. There are an estimated 5 sexes by one researcher's count: Male, Merm, Herm, Ferm, and Female. Merms, Herms, and Ferms are intersexuals. Herm is a hermaphrodite with one teste and one ovary and external sex organs that are somewhere in between male and female. A Merm has testes but ambiguously-shaped genitalia. A Ferm has ovaries but ambiguously shaped genitalia. Some people are born with chromosomes opposite to their genital sex. Jamie Lee Curtis, for example, has XY chromosomes, making her chromosomally male, while she has unambiguously female genitals. In any case, sex is purely physical.

Within the next 48 hours, the U.S. Senate will be voting to decide whether or not to allow same-sex marriages. MoveOn.org is hosting a campaign to ensure marital freedom for all couples, not just heterosexuals. All GLBT DDR players, please register your opinions at:
http://www.moveon.org/unitednotdivided
The campaign is only passed on by word-of-mouth, so please tell all your friends. |
