When that getupmove.com girl said she played 5 hours on end cause the time "flew by" so fast, 40 yr olds who want to get in shape won't do it cause most adults have LIVES outside of video games and won't devote that much time to it. My sister's friend is fat and she thought you had to play that often to lose weight like that girl did. Those two said/did a lot of the wrong things to turn people on to DDR.

Her and Jared from Slobway should hook up. Low-fat subs and DDR. Beats Atkins.

For some reason I resent that feeling wierd remark-LOL. Anyway I thought it was funny that the hosts bounced up and down like the character on beginner mode-that was the most noob thing I have ever seen since the girl at the dance fever competition asked if she could "just point at the arrows"!-mom-

Are you retarded? THe point was that it wasnt even something you forced yourself to do becuase you want to get in shape. It is something actually fun that has a side effect of lossing wieght. No one was watching it and thinkink it took 4 to 5 hours a day to lose wieght. Trust me, i just asked my sisters friend and that is what she thought... and shes my sisters friend.....sister

Ditto!

Yeah... or how about Unlimited... or Afronova... or Burning Heat...

Could you imagine them bouncing up and down to Unlimited? I bet they'd fall off the pad just trying to count the beat! laugh.gif

I sure am E1.gif glad to see you here too!! nerd.gif

I totally had more to say in that last post....but i kept getting calls and losing my train of thought....

i just want people to know that they dont have to play that much to lose the weight... i have lost 20 lbs with 30 min every day E1.gif

this is not something for everyone...but for someone like me...who hates the gym and traditional exercise... it is perfect E1.gif

i really want to reach those out there that feel like there is no hope....

I never thought i could lose weight...but.. .man.. i did not want to look back at my wedding pictures and be sad because i didnt look and feel the way i wanted to....

so after hearing about tanya... it was like... ok..maybe i can do this...

and i just hope that someone out there saw this and felt the same way...

hope everyone has a good day!!

*hugs*

I know someone that lost over 130 lbs and hasn't played for 5 bloody years. Plus he's on Standard and wouldn't scare the shyt out of the audience from playing (you can't tell them to not be intimidated watching Twilight Zone Heavy). They have no idea where the real success stories are out there.

Besides, more weight is probably lost on those taco mats just moving them constantly cause they suck so much. Couldn't they up the ante (people pay hundreds or more for exercise eq) and plug a CF (i.e. PLAYING ON ONE)?

I do hope this extra exposure causes Konami to go "OMFG we want make money...let no be dumb shits and we go release new USA mix that high-quality like Extreme!"

P.S. Yes, I know they were plugging console but most young kids (fat, trim, or skinny) will play more at the arcade when they realize there is no experience like it (not to mention much larger song selection).

Hey duke stop being a pesimistic @$$ hole who the hell cares about who lost the most wieght. the point is about having fun and lossing wieght who the F#@k cares what kind of pad is being used. Smile, laugh, be happy you only have one life to do it.

I think amongst all the horrible spelling and punctuation you were trying to flame and curse at me. They didn't seem very prepared but I think our male friend just wanted to show off his AAs and play Heavy in front of millions. Kudos to him for getting the largest crowd (er, second actually...I think the guy in the Sketcher's commercial got more exposure) and losing weight, even though I'm sure he plays obsessively to an extent that the age of people who actually WATCH the Today Show would never spend.

I have every right to post my positive or negative comments about the airing. If you don't like it PM me. Some people just can't handle disagreements or any level of dissapointments. Life goes on.

Umm... for the record, that was PMG, a moderator here on DDR Freak. I suggested him to the person who was 'casting' for this because he was available under the short notice granted me and is a DDR weight loss success story.

So no, he didn't just want to show off his AAs and play Heavy in front of millions. He did it to help promote DDR, period.

Nice try to poo poo on the whole thing, but you failed.

Luis - It's completely unnecessary to call people names. You've been warned.

hmm.... i hope this was a joke. Do you commonly go around telling people how horrible they speak/write English when its there second language?? thats cool.
well my "male friend" you just keep digging that hole ok.... sisters friend! who talked about your rights on this board??? i was talking about respect. who the hell goes into a thread, where the girl and guy that will be on TV post in and talks about the $hitty job they did. What is worse is that they did fine. All you did was look for inner deep meanings in their word and action hahah so sad.
