Konami PR talked to me today to see if I could recruit more folk. Me & Mike Ngo are DQ'ed for being Konami employees.
Of course, that only caught my ire moreso because we're temps, not actual salaried folk. Eh, damn people make us work like perms & treat us like temps!
But I digress... |
What do you do at Konami? How'd you get a job? |

I AA'ed MAX300 at the interview and got a 50000 on my first try on KR. |

Uh...can you be a bit more detailed? Do you test the steps for them or something? Why did you have to pad it up at the interview, otherwise? |

I'm going to have to set my Alarm Clock for this one...
~Sets it for 6:50 AM~
Damn Summer Break makes me wake up at 8 AM.
This outta be interesting though. DDR doesn't get nearly enough positive publicity as it should. It's hard to see anyone around the arcade around my place. I'll be the only one playing and people are just looking at me funny and walking off to play the claw and grab game.. or somethin'. (Though the Ocassional Beginnger will come along and try... reminds me of the good ol days at Seaworld )
I wish I could see that whole thing live though... that would be kick buttocks. >>' _________________

They make you work like perms and treat you like temps? Oh my God! I'd love to have to have your job right now! I've been trying so hard to get my foot in the door at some local game companies but I haven't had any luck yet. And matter where you work they're gonna make you work like a perm and treat you like a temp, even if you've been there 10 years! (And you're probably getting paid too. This summer I would work for free if I could work locally!)

That was the most impressive part of your interview? Gee, maybe I've been going about this whole carreer thing the wrong way. Instead of persuing a higher education, networking with people, and working on large projects maybe I should've been playing Max 300 instead? (I'm kidding) |

Catastrophe: Heh, heck you're in MA. Hook up w/ Harmonix, yo! Otherwise, you best better move to the Bay Area out here. Konami, EA, Sony, SEGA, Capcom, eidos... (just to name a few) -- Can't front on that.
Promit: QA (Quality Assurance) = fancy name for tester. Localization is the process of taking something from another language and making sure it looks kosher out here (locally) -- i.e., a game produced in Japan (say Silent Hill) obviously needs to be translated for American audiences, so localization ensures that it happens as seamlessly as possible. Localization also does proofreading of stuff like game text, manuals, etc. |

Geesh, it's not a personal thing, New Yorkers. Besides which, y'all were first pick the last time there was a New York event - let the rest of the country have a shot for once. |

Shit, 7 AM?!?!? On a school day? Dayme. (School starts at 9:15 for me. Thank you, spare!) Anyone know about what part of the show will DDR be in?
Thanks to all the people who are going to record/host it, for the sleepers (like me). |

*wakes up around 2 PM*
*does some quick calculations*
Ain't no way in HELL I'm waking up at 4 AM just to watch a three hour show, looking for a 5 minute clip of DDR! Somebody had best get the video up within a week!
Or, I suppose I could just not sleep tonight. That might work. _________________

Jeez. I might as well stay up the night as well. But this should be interesting....are they going to demonstrate: beginner -> light -> standard -> heavy to see how it progresses? That would be very nifty. |

Yep. I'm staying up. Half an hour!
So, I could go to sleep as late as three and a half hours from now. Sucks, because I need to wake up early to get tickets for Harry Potter :\
Yeah, I think it would be good if they don't show just Beginner. If they show some Heavy songs, even easy Heavy songs, it'll be good. But just Beginner looks really bad. Especially when one of us plays it...When the player looks bored playing a game, it's no good for advertising. _________________

Jeez...do I care about the court cases, mountain hikers, and pope visits?
No offense to Saenoda and other players, but I hope this is worth watching. _________________

I'm lazy, so I'm telling my PC to grab the next 2 hours and 45 minutes of video from the channel, and will probably be going to sleep. Someone let me know what time the DDR segment(s) happened. =p
(Note I didn't set it to 3 hours, because I started 15 minutes late. So, I'm not sure if anything happened in the first 15 minutes of the show.) _________________

First 15 minutes: Nothing big unless you care about the war on terror.
BTW; the story is definitely coming up; the host said something about how parents will want kids to play more games. Just pray for more than light mode play. _________________
