When i'm home alone, which I am most of the summer! I turn the TV up pretty loud, much louder than if I was watching normal TV, but unfortunately I don't have a stereo/surround system.
When my parents are home I turn it down some and close the door and when they're sleeping I turn it down pretty low.
I usually can't hear my steps though since I play in socks on an Ignition 2.0 _________________

My DDR setup (PS2 + pads) is hooked to a full size 5.1 system with a 400W 4' tall active subwoofer.
I normally don't turn it up too loud though. Of course, there are times when a little volume is in order, and dance tracks LOVE big subs... |

My setup is decent...... two large speakers with nice sized subs on them, i can make my entire house viberate with bass so I'm happy haha.. my parents really don't care, they aren't control freaks and they really like all music so they don't care how loud it is, therefore i usually play ddr music loud enough to viberate the house walls! |

Depends, out of frustration I will stomp or if the surroundings are so loud I will have to do so to hear the beat. |

OMGhi wrote: | I was wondering how everyone else plays DDR at their homes. Do you usually have a huge stereo system setup and blasting with bass or turn the volume down as low as possible or even off when you play DDR. I personally usually play with a moderate volume but on days where I'm "pumped up" I will turn on my 3 stereo system with big bass lol. |
Sure DO! neighbors get mad at me too when its only 3PM! _________________

I just play in my crammed room. I have enough floorspace for a DDRmat, and my 17-inch (I think that's the height) TV is in the corner of the room, like, 1 inch under the ceiling, which isn't a bad thing for me, what with my 6'2" stature and all. Because my room's on the top floor you can hear my footsteps throughout the house. The volume, however, is always low, just enough so I can hear it but no one else in the house can. _________________
