Ok, just in case anyone who reads this doesn't already know, never buy anything from Mad Catz...EVER!
The back sensor on my cheap $20 Mad Catz pad completely stopped working, which lead to the entire pad being ripped open to see what was inside. Somewhat interesting, but not worth $20.
What's more, a friend bought me a PS2 Mad Catz Controller for my birthday awhile back. Well, the left analog stick got un-calibrated somehow, and when in its center position, kept pressing the left arrow repeatedly. Well, I fixed that problem with an adhesive, making the analog stick harder to move, and fixing it in its "normal state". Then, here it comes, static electricity generates a spark from my finger when I pick up the controller, immeadiatly the rumble motor goes off, never stopping, and none of the buttons work. WTF!!! I hate this company! _________________

Please tell me that they won't screw up a memory card, because I bought one thinking, "How could they screw up a MEMORY CARD?" _________________

Haha, when I read the topic title I thought you were debating against buying a MadCatz pad or Def Jam Vendetta....the latter's probably better.
Seriously, all MadCatz products are crap. I bought 3 PS1 memory cards that died and lost all my files (yes, including my near perfection FF7 file and my 96% Gran Turismo 2 file ).
So, just don't touch their products.

PS1 mem card... works fine
X-box microcon... works fine
DDR pad... outlasted my Naki one by a couple months
Universal A/V+S-video cable... works fine
No problems here. _________________

I bought a MadCatz universal dance pad so I could play both PS* mixes and Ultramix. Three days later, the Playstation connector randomly stopped working. I wouldn't care so much if it were just the Xbox part, as I determined that Ultramix sucks within the time that I bought the pad and the time that it broke.
Put another tally in the "MadCatz sucks ass" column. _________________

well it really is true, you get what you pay for. sure, it may be $10 or $15 less but you'll end up paying double for a new cheap pad or a repairs on the old one. NOTE: reletives have been known to give you cheap seemingly useful items that often break or you just never actually use them. its a good idea to just tell them you want a nice amount of cash _________________

I have a Mad Catz memory card and it works fine (at least so far). The DDR pad though...to put it nicely sucks major buttocks. I don't know anyone who has had a Mad Catz pad last for more than a month (and that's if they were lucky...or just never played). _________________

My pad was $35. I could have gotten another non-slip Naki pad for $20 and that would have probably lasted at least 6-9 months like all the others I've had. So your theory is only right sometimes...sometimes you get doubly fucked. _________________

Mad Catz Dance Pad? Sorry, but I don't trust anything that says, "Works great with Brittney Speare's Dance Beats!" on the box. |

I had an N64 memory pack which erased one day with all my golden eye data. It's first party hardware from here on in. |

I would never tell anyone to get a MadCatZ pad. My friend bought one of those pads a while ago before I could tell him that the pad would totally suck so he went along and bought it. It broke in the matter of 1 month.
Then I told him to buy a BNS pad from www.buynshop.com and he has had that one for about 3 months now and it is still working perfectly, keep it up BNS. _________________
