While at the arcade with your local chums, which of the following annoys you most... read these...their actually funny cause it has to happen to you some time....

1) those little 3 year olds that think they can help you win, you step on on them...it is only a matter of 1/8 notes before their parents get involved/

2)The fat little kid behind you with the mullet, insisting that he had next game and you have one of his tokens riiight.gif *FEAR THE MULLET*

3) The tourney champ who insists on choosing all the songs you hate, and does not have the desentcy to let you adjust the difficulty level, leaving you struggling, or worst, embarrest.

4) The freestylers that are more interested on destroying the machine right before you get a wack at it. (inspired by my last trip)

5) (Opposing the tourney champ) ::planning on some heavy Sakura::
the little girl who joins you chooses the 3 easiest songs on any difficulty or the 3 songs that no guy will ever choose (cutie chaser, love shine ect)

6) The pro that convinces you to step aside for a few songs, the problem is the arcade closes in 5 minutes...you missed the last game!

7) The staller: Not only will he wait 5 minutes between songs, but will choose the longest songs and will not concider the speedy mixes. Not only that, he nails the AA for the final and gets the final stage (or two if your that unlucky)

8) the over hyped teens: Armed with towels, sweat bands, DDR sports bottles, matching shoes, you do not stand a chance and getting a game in...they will defend THEIR machine with their lives. (it is funny to see they yell at each other on how it was not their fault they missed some steps)

9) People that insist to cut in on the songs you have a little trouble with, moving up from standard mode.

10) kids that dont know that putting a token on the machine gives you next game...bye bye token.

11) GANGS: armed with matching jackets, they will dance you off, cheer each other on, and claimed you got served.

12) The old ladys, armed with a 2 year old son, will talk to you while playing, and think its cute how well you dance (the game is not based on dancing!! I dont care what anyone says!)

Answer: "Hey, I don't want you to get hurt, so could you not step on the arrows when I'm playing?" This gives you leverage so if Evil SUV Driving Parent Of Death™ comes up and complains, you can explain to them that if they didn't watch their kid, they could have gotten hurt.

Answer: Hold the damned green button down! (on 5th or below, request that you can change your difficulty)

I REALLY HATE IT WHEN the " hardcore" teens come prepared with towels, water bottles, and a pen and paper to jot down their scores, i mean what the hell frust.gif damn kids hog the machine. Id go over and kick their asses off but then that would start an argment and we'd probably be banned.

I also hate when the little kids start stomping on the pad. The worse thing is that their parents let them do it because it looks soooo cute.

I dont think that this is realted or anyting but, it also annoys me when me and my friends play on heavy mode with songs like sakura, ps, and so deep. (songs that look really complicated and impressive if you can do them right) and nobody comes to watch us, but when these kids come and play on light mode, they all of a sudden get a but crowd!! GEEZ

I haven't had that problem in a while, but yes, I would hate to break a little finger. frown.gif

LOL, never happened to me, but that sounds funny!

Actually, I don't mind that... i have the tendency to pick the same songs. Its good to have a little variety. And if they are the tourney champ, you get more practice on the parts of the song you can't pass yet.

Haven't seen that in a while, but it is annoying... but if it is non destructive, I like watching freestyle... well most of it anyway.

This is why I don't usually play with other people. heheheh and I like Love Shine, hahahahaha!

I've only stepped aside when I wanted to, and it wasn't for the "pro" it was for my fiance <the night we met> I was flirting back by giving him my last song, and the arcade was closing, heheheh... riiight.gif

THIS IS WHAT BOTHERS ME THE MOST... GRRR... I really hate it when people ignore the coin line <or steal from it>.

I'm fortunate enough to have never experienced this... hmm... or maybe too old? heheh

I hate it when there is an audience, but if they try talking to me I politely ask them to wait until i finish because I need to concentrate.

EDIT: oh poo! now i'm one of those annoying people who didn't pay attention to the question and answered all the questions instead of just the one that bothers me the most... Gomen-kudasai riiight.gif riiight.gif

You forgot the one where a little kid comes onto the pad before you are about to play singles and then they hit their little green button. Then they just keep hitting it until you get to a song. So basically they keep just choosing the first song on the machine (which is 1,2,3,4,007 for me-_-)!!!

For me, it's those damn BEMANI stereotypes, such as:

- Asians are automatically good at DDR
- DDR has mainly J-Pop and techno
- white people who are good at DDR are "Wapanese" otakus
- DDR is actual dancing
- DDR involves arm flailing

major truths are in that post! especially the steerotype of the Bemani Azn. Its like we're almost expected to be able to AA catas and pies without trying.
