Before anyone posts more, i'd consider looking at what assesments i've made.
Styles of play
Flat foot - a style of moving where the player doesn't rise up on his toes
Flat foot (conservitive) - Like flat foot, although the player tries to keep his feet placed inbetween arrows
Percision - A style where the player raises his ankles and plays on his toes. (i only call it percision because you land percisley on the arrow)
these are the feet related styles of play i've seen. i myslef am a percision player. |

Alright Im jumpin' in. now some people flat foot a lot and thats great but a lil warning to people with size 8 and higher male shoe sizes. If ur like me just wearing worn out shoes like maybe Nikes or Jordans like me then i recommend u try to us ur toes but heres something u should no !!!WARNING!!! do not play for hours and hours toeing over the pad switch between ur heels and ur toe and its hard but it will reduce a lil pain on ur toes cuz i've learn from my mistakes but i still tip toe a lot due to the speed of the song and about the shoe sizes if u flat foot then wear something that has somekind of rounded bottom since i got my shoe stuck on a part of a pad even though it was only for like 5 seconds it still might happen or i've missed the pad due to my shoe size so wear something with a rounded end or if ur use to having shoes like Vans and flat bottom shoes on then u can either do 2 things. 1: to have ur heel or ur toe on the arrow pad part and the other half on the metal and u will half to work from there. 2: sliding on the pad helps too if u got shoes that r good for sliding then go for it _________________

I hear I tend to look extremely relaxed when I play. Like I'm not trying hard at all, when in reality I'm trying the PA the crap out of the song.
For foot style - I use the top half of my foot. And sometimes raise up a bit more than half of my foot on the pad. Only for PA, tho. If I'm messing up and don't really feel like trying anymore, I play flat footed and just try to hit the arrows instead of PA. I don't like flat footed tho, and it hurts after awhile. _________________

I play on my toes. It's impossible for me to play flatfooted. It just doesn't work *falls off the pad*. I hardly ever bar rape.
I do have a trademark though. My friend calls it the DDR face. Basically my eyes narrow, my mouth is slightly open and I don't blink. People at my arcade think it's scary _________________
