Pop'n Arcade Question

I'm not sure if all arcade Pop'n games are the same, but i've got some things i'd like to have cleared up. My arcade has a pop'n 5. I know in order to put on high speed you have to hit the two blues, mirror, random, all that stuff i can do. But only certain songs when i highlight the character can get into hyper. I do that by pushing the two yellows. Is that really hyper, or is there anothery way to get that? Do all songs have hyper, or only like 10 of the 32? Any help will be very appreciated

Not all songs have hypers just as not all songs have exs.

but was i correct in how to get hyper or ex or whatever? i'm new to the arcade version

Yup, that's how you get Hypers. Just hit both yellows. On PNM 5, to get EX versions, you have to get an Extra Stage in Challenge mode by getting the proper amount of challenge points. Then I think the EX versions show up as separate listings in that version of PNM.
