Well, today i played The final for the first time, i havnt played Beatmania since a year ago on a comleat mix 2 in a "mini" cabinet, so going to a regular cab felt weird. There where alot of new screens that didnt make sence, so, do you guys have any tips for The Final?

He's not talking about difficulty, he's asking questions about certain menus in the game that he can't read. He wants to know what they mean.

Other then the fact that its sooo weird not playing on a mini cabinet, i cant figure out what the free mode is, or the other break offs after i hit normal, is there some sort of diagram in english?

I've only played BM The Final once, but I believe after you pick your mods and start, one of the screens asks you which layout you want, either BM Original, where the blue notes fall down overlapping white notes, or separate, like IIDX. And there is one asking you if you want to play normal mode, or center play... thats all I remember.

well, the original beatmania was set up (and i think this was up until 7th mix), where you had the turntable slot, and the 3 white key slots, but the 2 black keys where on the lines between the white keys.

When you first hit start
1st screen = Freeze Turntables (doing 360 degree turntable turns for songs like Be Lovin')
2nd Screen = Normal/Free/Expert.
Normal: Normal game, you fail if your bar goes below the clear line.
Free: You'll pass your song regardless, but you generally get a less amount of songs.
Expert: 5 song Expert course, game is over when your bar runs out.
3rd screen = Original VS Separate lanes.
I'd say separate lanes is a LOT easier for hard songs (i.e. 7-9 star Anothers), otherwise if you play 5-key Beatmania often or enough, stick with Original mode.
4th Screen = Movie + Counter, Movie only, Counter only, None.
I think only the options with the movie affect the pre-song load time, I'd just stick with Counter Only or nothing at all (movies are so small, it's not worth it).
Counter is just the Just Great/Great/Good/Bad/Miss and Max Combo spread you get while you're playing.
