Now to get on-topic.
Accentuating the point of girls that play heavy on DDR is just promoting sexism. There's nothing special when a girl is good at DDR. If I see a girl AAA some really hard song, I don't think "Wow, they AAAed So Deep, and they're a girl!", I just think "Wow, they AAAed So Deep!".
The entire bull phrases that go along the lines of "What's a girl supposed to do?", etc. just tick me off. If you want equality, go for it, don't make yourself sound like you're handicapped because you have a vagina. |
Promoting sexism??? ... oh come on... you're going too far. Isn't true that there's not a lot of girls playing hardcore DDR? We're not saying it's because they don't have skills, it's just a lot of them don't even bother trying. It's a lack of interest, not skils. Yes a girl AAAing So Deep would be awesome, because as far as I know, it's never been done. Girls are different than guys no? We could talk about racism as well. Or just age. There's not a lot of people above 30 years old who plays DDR. It's not because they can't. Yet, if someone above 30 AAA max300, it would be really impressive no?
We're not saying what a girl should or should not do, so I don't understand where you got that idea... We're not saying that being a girl in DDR is a handicap. Anyway, you got the idea.

Unfortunately, the only girls that come around here to play DDR are n00bs that can barely pass beginner mode and watch me with their jaw dropped while I barely pass cartoon heroes.

| my girlfriends/female friends play with me all the time, about 3 of them can play heavy, one of them upper heavy. that one and i always play max unlimited together, she can only get about two thirds of the way through but that is still good, i wasnt always able to pass, we all have to start somewhere... in fact it's been a while since i've played with her so she might actually be better than me now |

Well yeah, I play with girls who can play Heavy, and some guys too...
And I don't assume someone must suck at DDR because she's a girl, I just wait to see him/her play and see his/her level...

hmm...now that you mentioned it my girlfriend had been recently been practicing alot of songs on Heavy mode earlier sunday morn at the mall after church. The only thing she can't try out yet is PARANOiA survivor MAX, and she doesn't like the regular PARANOiA survivor cause survivor MAX is more challenging to her. But yeah I played DDr with alot of girls before...except they are all like 4th - 6th graders and they all try to catch up to me.  guess that's about it. |
