In hearing bag i tend to think that its ethnicity is either Scottish or Arabian. It could be bagpipes, or it could be that instrument (i dont know the exact name) somewhat like a clarinet used over in the far east. Ive heard a variety of responses to this question. Lets hear some of yours.

Think of it Bag BAGpipes. And isn't there a picture of bagpipes on the banner. Also I think the instrument your looking for is a sitar (sp).

That surprises me... if the tune isn't enough of a giveaway, the title is "bag" as in "bagpipes", and the background has a guy in a kilt. Seems like an easy call to me.

Exotic Ethnic I always thought was Indian (as in india not native american), not Arabian. Elephants seem to be more of an east asia thing.

EE -Estonia

E1.gif

Exotic Ethnic sounds asian indian, the elephant tells it all. Plus I believe that a sitar is being playing during the song, which is an instrument from that culture. E4.gif

And while we're covering the cultural backgrounds of RE-VENGE's songs:

Afronova = African
Matsuri Japan = Japanese
Orion.78 = Korean
Tsugaru = Japanese... Again. I guess.

Bag is supposed to sound Scottish. Duh.

Orion.78 is supposed to sound Japanese, not Korean. Specifically, it's an attempt to recreate a sound distinctive to Okinawa.

Exotic Ethnic is supposed to sound Indian.

Macho Gang is supposed to sound fucking awesome. It succeeds. It does indeed appear in DDR 2nd Mix/IIDX Substream Club Version 2. It's understandable that a lot of people wouldn't know this as I don't think there are any of these left anywhere.

And there's a lot of techno in DDR. I'm not sure where you've been...nevermind that if someone asked me to pick a Bemani song that exemplified techno, Macho Gang wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list.

At first when I heard bag I thought it was Arabian because of the voices in the background towards the middle and the end of the song. Then I realized bag is actually bagpipes and I saw the background and banner and sure enough it had bagpipes on it! So yeah, bag is Scottish. I love that song!

As for Exotic Ethinc, I always thought it sounded a little Egyptian but the elephant in the background picture does look Indian.
