i was just wondering because i'm kind of unbalanced as far as different categories on there go.
personally Air and Stream are my best. songs with lots of jumps that seem to screw other people up are no problem for me and i can even beat some of the tough jumpy heavy songs like Waka Laka if i put it on little mode... but... i suck donkey balls at Chaos and Voltage. if there's only a TINY bit or if it's a syncopated beat (like, say, AM-3P or the middle part of Matsuri Japan on Std) i can handle it, but any long bits of 8th or 16th notes tire me out so fast it's not even funny. so i have to put most of the songs above 4-5 feet on Little when i start to practice them so that i don't fail right away. Freeze i'm not really good or bad.
what about you?

Stream: nice and easy. I can do streams forever and a day.
Chaos: fun. I like it. I can usually figure it out.
Voltage: I'm too offbeat a lot of the time, but I like having stuff thrown in.
Air: meh. I can do jumps, but I don't like it.
Freeze: BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I hate freeze arrows. I can never hold even the easy ones. I've failed Feeling of Love because of freeze arrows fizzing out on me MORE THAN ONCE, and I can do the 2 easier Survivors, MaxX, and 300 with little to no problem.

this is a tougher one to answer for me...a lot of it depends on the bpm and beat itself usually...air i tend to suck at PA wise...and stomps (dddddddddddd: see abyss) i pa poorly...i think stream and chaos are my favs...freeze I tend to be indifferent over...they can be a nice rest like in max300, or they can suck and throw you off like in kiss kiss kiss...

stream for me is god's way of saying why dont i just break you leg off right now
chaos is hard to get the first time around but after practice and watever...ya know
voltage is what makes my rib cage collide upon itself
air... i only had one bad time with this is when i landed on my ankle on jam jam reggee, but other than that air is just fine for meh (especialy the saints jumps E1.gif )
and that brings us to freeze and is my absolute favorite, on moves like ordinary world and... dare i say it ....silenthill 3rd christmas mix everytime i say that i die a little inside....

Freezes require doing nothing, so I've got to say that's my strong point... not moving comes naturally to me. Jumps tire me out, but unless there's a long sequence of them (hello Love Shine heavy) it's not a huge problem. Chaos, it depends... sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. It all depends on the song. Voltage would be my problem area... a high reading there usually means 16th note runs, and unless we're talking about something like Secret Rendezvous, I can't move that fast.

Let's see....

Stream: Love stream... I can do stream all day. hehe
Air: I'm good at air at the arcade. I'll jackhammer jump like a madman on a platform. But on a soft pad I can't do quick jumps worth anything.
Freeze: Meh. Whatever. There are some freeze patterns that can get tricky to read. But whatever.
Voltage: As long as I'm warmed up, I'm good at voltage streams (Max300 hell runs, etc). However, yet again, much, much better on at least an ignition pad than on a soft pad with these.
Chaos: Probably my weakest point. If I know the steps, I can pull chaos without too much trouble. But some of the weirder fast chaos streams (Paranoia Eternal is a good example), I have issues with.

Stream is my biggest strength, a combination of Chaos and Voltage my biggest weakness, IE: So Deep and Burning Heat.

When playing doubles another factor that is not shown by the groove radar is the frequency and difficulty of crossovers as well as the distance in between steps.

I can pretty much handle everything EXCEPT freezes at the arcade. Its such a pain. I'm a light kid, and the machine doesnt want to register my freezes most of the time. I've failed Max 300 due to the freeze giving out. Everytime a freeze comes up (espicially a jump-freeze) I have to tense up so I get it. Such a pain.

stomps like that are sometimes easier if you put BOTH feet on the same arrow, ever tried that?

Freezes are also my biggest weakness...

Air comes second, though i'm not too shabby.

Everything else is cake...

I like playing songs with a lot of Air and a lot of stream. but i tend to stay away from very chaotic songs because i dont have alot of stamina and thats also one reason i cant get past teh 8 footer mark. E18.gif E18.gif E12.gif E18.gif frust.gif frust.gif

Chaos seems to be my thing. I love stuff with tricky rhythms, like On the Jazz!, So Deep, Burning Heat!, and bag. My big weakness is Air, like in Waka Laka or the sections of jumps in PARANOiA Heavy Double. I also can't deal well at all with certain sections where you can't easily crossover (think HVAM and Daikenkai)

Stream: I'm cool with it. It's okay, but I consider it absolute hell in songs like Bre\-/kdown, and Afronova Primeval(SO DAMN TIRING!) Oh, and it strains my stamina fast, most of the time.

Air: I'm relatively good at it. I can FC the Drop Out streams, but oh god, the MaxX jumps kill me!

Freeze: My 2nd best. It's relatively easy. I don't think it even counts.

Chaos: My absolute best. I'm awesome at sightreading wierd patterns!(I have an A on I feel)

Voltage: My worst. Sure, I can near FC(1 stupid good!) Secret Rendes-vous, but I CANNOT handle Max and Orion voltage. It;s my favorite though. Clumped togethor hard to read arrows=fun!

So best=Chaos

Worst=Voltage

Personally, I am great with streams of arrows. that is so easy, especially the matsuri japan and abyss stuff that seems to screw up my friends.

I am a horrid jumper. it is sad, I flail around a lot and still miss.especially, 8th note jumps. those suck. E2.gif

I excel at the part in which I crash an airplane into it.

tried it, doesn't work...PA is even worse...I have no problem hitting the arrows, just am not consitent (although i got 1 great in the csfilsm stomps and fced the max300 stomps)

Ok.
Stream: Best one.
Freeze: Second best because I'm heavy enough to hold down the arrows effortlessly.
Air: I'm good at this as long as it's not as intense as Waka Laka on heavy's air.
Voltage: I'm ok at dense steps as long as it's not too intense.
Chaos: I some times have trouble with complex step patterns like So Deep. Bleh. I can't do that yet.

Okay...I <3 the Groove Radar. Now lessee what parts I'm good at and all that.

Air: I love Air. I'm not always good at it (If it's combined with stream.) but I love Jam Jam Reggae Heavy and Dance Dance Revolution on Standard.
Freeze: Freezes are by far one of the easiest parts of the radar for me. Give me Stay on Standard! They add for some fun turns and stuff in songs. (Unless it's Kiss Kiss Kiss on Heavy, the ONLY song I've been known in which to turn Freezes off.)
Stream: Probably the part of DDR I am best at. CSFIL: Speed Mix and Rhythm and Police have become my best friends. While Stream leaves me drained, my PA is usually very VERY good in high stream songs.
Chaos: I'm fair at Chaos. Bag and Burning Heat are probably my two best high Chaos songs. Beyond that, I've got some minor faults.
Voltage: This is my least favorite. I'm not terrible at Voltage, but I'm no "OMUG1337DDRLEGEND" either. Gradiusic Cyber kills me nearly every time I attempt it, I barely scrape through So Deep most of the time. The only two songs I play that I'm good at Voltage with are V Oni and Colors Oni.

So I guess....

Best: STREAM
Worst: VOLTAGE
