In the manga version of GTO, US Release, Book #16, there's a part where Onizuka is BREAKDANCING on a DDR Machine. I should scan it in to show you people. _________________

Every Friday night one of the popular radio stations has rave clubs and stuff where they broadcast the megamix songs over the radio, and Shiny Disco song is on often
Also when they're talking often times there's some sort of beat playing in the back and a couple times i heard Castles In The Sky
both Ultramix (licensed) tunes but still cool... _________________

anyway, I've seen that DDr commercial on G4, I wonder if they purpusely wanted them to look like geeks. ( no offense to any of them, of course) |
Here are the cool guys in a more familiar setting (first two):

We weren't dressed to be like geeks--it was supposed to reflect the style from the '80s. The other three individuals in the commercial are Fox (Victor), Snorkel (Karl), and MOD (Tyler) from Southern California. _________________

I saw an episode of Even Stevens not too long ago. Two people (forgot who they were) visited an Arcade, and I could see two girls playing DDR USA
I also saw a Blind Date go into an Arcade and play DDR (Spanish Blind Date) _________________

On a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Can't remember the name, but, ironically, there was a snowstorm at the beginning of the cartoon. |
This has been posted several other times in different threads but V is really a song called Winter written by Vivalde (I think thats how you spell it). So a snowstorm would make sense even if the cartoon was made before DDR was created. _________________

The weirdest thing happened-Just as I finished up a round of DDR, I switched the PS2 off, hit the TV/Video button and boom "Take me Away" was playing as bg music to this show called roomraiders. "Take me Away" just happened to be the song I was dancing to. Quite a coincidence I think. _________________

A kid just did a video presentation on Kenan and Kel for a black history month project, and Tsugaru was playing in the background for a minute. I never put that music with the title, since I never played it, but I knew it was from DDR. Still, cooley. _________________

DDR Extreme has the most songs and none of the official games have all of the songs (not including simulators).
I'm not sure if either of these have been posted but ddr is shown (poorly)/mentionded in this webcomic http://www.machall.com/index.php?strip_id=55
And in the December 2002 issue of Entertainment Weekly DDR is mentioned in a gaming article as "a twister-meets-Dance Fever rage sweeping arcades and playstations worldwide. _________________

But the hands down COOLEST, was probably the Amanda show, where her music teacher was trying to give her lessons and started playing Kakumei on the piano = ownage. |
Semi non-unique. I seriously doubt the teacher was playing Kakumei. More likely is Chopin's revolutionary etude, the song upon which it is based. I actually like the original more, but you couldn't step to it. _________________

Console wize, DDRMAX2 and MAX1 have the most songs on them, that are easy to find. Ultramix has about.. .45 maybe =\ The other two have about 75 + _________________

Well, i saw DDR for a split second on the stupid Nickelodeon show Romeo (don't ask) as they were zooming in on his lttle brother plaing a circular space invaders thing, and in our local laser tag place they played Sandstorm from MAX2 like a zillion times, but that was not originally for DDr, they just liscensed it to DDR. |
