Yeah, I find the lyrics to After the Game of Love, The Whistle Song, and E-rotic's songs absolutely hilarious.
"Oh Nick please not so quick, you know I want it big..."
And The Whistle Song is legitimately about whistles, and lucky for us it can be loosely construed to be about something else _________________

Bah you kids and your no sex music.
Yet turn on your radios and half the crap spewing out of it is about sex.
After the Game just isn't without it's lyrical charm. When I played that on Konamix I was all WTF? Then I started playing again in the arcades and played After the Game of Love alot more. They always make me chuckle abit.
Candy <3 pwnz candy* IMO. The lyrics actually improved my Candy* scores by ALOT. Whenever I play Candy*, the lyrics stream through my head.
Never like E-rotic too much though.

It's Raining Men (Almighty Mix) - The beginning steps look fun.
Super Star (From Nonstop Megamix) - I love the music.

I think Crash! would be better without the lyrics. _________________

Blasphemy.
Crash! is one of the greatest songs on Extreme, but only a few people can fully appreciate it.

See, pure brilliance. He doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, so he'll continue writing brilliant songs and singing them in his original voice. |

No offense, but "It's Raining Men" is a disco song. It had lyrics in the 70s, it still does. To take the lyrics out of the song would keep it from being "It's Raining Men". Sorry.
I think that some of you new DDR players are way too sheltered for your own good. This "Oh my Gosh! These songs talk about sex!" stuff is really really dumb. The fact of the matter is, a LOT of music in DDR can be translated into something about sex. If it has lyrics and isn't J-Pop (Love Shine, Candy <3) it usually is talking about something sexual. Most of you won't know about this song, but "Flash In The Night", which is a great song from 6th Mix can be completely translated into sexual reference, in fact it even has the lyrics:
Flashman wrote: | Everytime you come, it's a FLASH. IN THE. NIGHT. |
And yet it's probably has some of the coolest steps and best eurobeat sound out there (IMO). This whole "Sexual lyrics kill songs" idea is really ignorant. If you don't like sex, get off the DDR machine and let those people who realize the music for it's quality play. Or, just don't play those songs, but trust me...you're going to be limited to some pretty small selection.
Crash! isn't a bad song, I don't particularly like the sound of his voice. It's very off-key and harsh sounding. Paula Terry happens to do that frequently too. (Which I why I don't like "Broken My Heart"). It's not the lyrics, per ce. It's the voice itself.
But I think there's a song that even rivals Crash!'s bad vocals: Love This Feelin'. Augh. I want to gouge my eyes out with pointy sticks when I hear it. The lyrics aren't bad. I just can't understand how someone can get away with singing THAT BADLY and get away with having a career in music. _________________

Just so you know, just to say that if you don't like sex you shouldn't be playing DDR is a VERY big mistake.
First of all, everyone likes sex. Duh. Some of us may like it at a different time (like when we're married) but we all like it. (Okay, maybe some of you don't, but I'm sure it's genetic )
Second of all, yes, a lot of DDR songs (and mainstream songs in general) can be reinterpreted to something about sex. However, that means actually coming up with the interpretation, and then ACCEPTING the interpretation. If you don't accept the sexual interpretation, then the song is not about sex. To some it is, but to others it's not. Therefore, people who don't want to hear sex in such songs just interpret the lyrics in a clean way.
Third, to imply that not wanting to hear sex in music is to have bad taste in music... I beg your pardon.
Finally, what I was referring to is songs that EXPLICITLY talk about sex. Especially Do It All Night and Temple of Love, there's no way you can deny sex in a song that actually says the word "sex" in it. And After The Game of Love: well, if Konami had to take out the lyrics for Konamix, that says something.
So yeah, I find the argument that sexual lyrics kill songs very valid. I mean, some of us struggle with something called "sexual temptation" (sure, most of you have never heard of such a thing ) and we don't want to deal with songs that have such content. I want to be able to appreciate music for its musical qualities, but sometimes the dirtiness of the lyrics get in the way... which is why I don't like most E-rotic songs.
A final note about sexual moaning: To some degree (like in Insertion for me), it is ignorable. Then there's unignorably annoying, like most E-rotic songs, and of course, Sexy Planet. _________________

Call me evil, (for I am,) but part of the appeal of DDR to me was actually the fact that the lyrics to some of the songs could be corrupting others around without their knowing... *shrugs* I'm just bad like that...

You're absolutely wrong if you dont agree that Let Them Move and Crash! have the worst lyrics/vocals of any DDR song. _________________
