I just LOVE NNR!

I think it's great that they added Doubles and 7th mix. Hopefully they'll add 4th and 5th soon.

It's too bad some people use it to post fake scores, though.

NNR is the best scoring system I've found yet. I'm pretty sure they're great cut-offs are accurate too. Though, on Aaron's page, the thing says you can get 1 great more on Max 300 than NNR says you can. Anyway, if any of their songs are off, it's not by more than like 1 great...

Btw, I don't fake scores either. I actually do the more honest thing. Like if I know I got a AA on a song, but forget my score, I'll look at the great cut-off and just enter that.

NNR is great! I love it! It allows me to keep track of how I progress in my Heavy PAing and it allows me to show off when (and if) I do well on a song. Just see my sig. (All scores are honest. riiight.gif You'll see.)

I lost interest in the song PA section. The player rankings were cool until the dumbshits filled it up with fake scores. Tracking the number the greats you obtained in a song is pointless unless you're starting to AAA songs (which I'm not).

I only use it to track oni scores now.

NNR is so popular now... man... I used to be only for some of us on www.teamgwailo.net and then some people gave the links to some friends and now there's more than 1000 people using NNR erm.gif

For the fake scores, we can delete them, but it has to be obvious, or that you have proof. Like one of the guys here posted 7 greats on Abyss... so we made him play it.... he failed.... disgust.gif

For max300, the cut is 78.... as far as I know... 1122 * 7% ~= 78.54 so if you round up, it will be 79... but I doubt DDR would do us a favor so my guess is that it's right at 78 nerd.gif

its just a shame in on a ddr hiatus

Well... I've put up a few approximates myself simply because I didn't have anything to write my data on. AND I had no camera... so...

By the way, what's the Dance Point equation?

I enjoy using NNR. Just clicking on one link and being able to see how many dp you're off from a AAA on all songs, or how close dp % wise you are to that AA (songs at 92.9 can go die E10.gif), or you can challenge yourself (or friends, or even other random NNR users) to do something. I've always found the goals to be rather funny though (on the advice page) "AAA song x because everyone else and their mom has" E9.gif

The DP equation is this one:

Perfect: 2
Great: 1
Good: 0
Boo: -4
Miss: -8
Ok: 6
NG: 0

If you count negatively it's
Perfect: 0
Great: -1
Good: -2
Boo: -6
Miss: -10
Ok: 0
NG: -6

Btw, the goal page is useful... until you have a AA average E15.gif I don't look at it anymore.... although now I'm curious happy.gif Let's see what song I'm "supposed" to be able to AAA riiight.gif

Is there any way we can help improve NNR?

I'd like to see Doubles Onis and other songs from other mixes...even the solos if possible.

There will be an update on NNR soon with the login, buddy list and all that good stuff. For the doubles oni, I think giving us the # of steps and freeze plus the max time would help. At the moment, only Stéphane is working on NNR as far as I know, so it can't progress that fast.... Unless I learn php but since I'm too lazy, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon riiight.gif

It's cool. I love the NNR system (check the sig).

I'm pretty sure a few of the great cutoff things are off by a little, but at least for me that's not too big...I think I can manage to get ONE or TWO less greats if I REALLY wanted to AA a song.

I don't record my scores for 10s, other than the letter grades I get (mainly 'cause I can't PA them yet), so I do do the thing where I just look at the cutoff and enter that in DP. Did that for So Deep, though, and played it the other day. The A I got beat the hell out of the A I entered with the cutoff.

But yeah...7th and 5th slots would definitely kick buttocks.

Are you sure? I've played around with Aaron's calculator and it says 78 greats is the cutoff for Max 300 too...as long as the stepcount for a song (number of steps and freezes) is accurate, the great cutoff for AA has no choice but to be accurate as well because it's calculated by using the same 3 steps over and over:

1) number of steps x 2 + number of freezes x 6 = max dp

2) 93% of the max dp (rounded down) = minimum number of dp for AA

3) max dp - minimum number of dp for AA = great cutoff

(the great cutoff figure assumes that you don't get any N.G.s)

All of the stepcounts for Extreme Single are pretty much known to be 100% accurate since people have been submitting scores for them for almost a year (there were some bugs at first, but they've all been ironed out). The only thing that keeps coming back is people reporting that the steps for Cutie Chaser Morning Mix are wrong, but that's because they're entering scores from MAXUSA, which has different steps for that song than Extreme E13.gif. The stepcounts for Extreme Doubles and all of Max2 might still have mistakes though...

Sure. If you have any suggestions, just send them to me via email or talk to me on MSN (my contact info is in both my DDR Freak and NNR profile). And if you send me an email but don't get a reply, it doesn't mean I'm not going to add your suggestion. Now would be an even better time to send suggestions since I'm rewriting most of the site. Some of the new features I'm currently working on include:

- logins
- buddy list (so you can choose who's scores you want to see, rather than having to scroll through 300 scores for one song)
- Max2 & doubles onis (I'm not sure about solo....maaaaaaaybe down the road E13.gif)
- 5th mix for sure, 4th mix and down either right away or a few weeks later

Thanks for all the positive comments guys nerd.gif
