Xenon is an element on the Periodic Table of Elements. It is used in lights, especially strobes.
From webelements.com:
Quote: | Metallic xenon is produced by applying several hundred kilobars of pressure. Xenon in a vacuum tube produces a blue glow when excited by an electrical discharge and finds use in strobe lamps. It is an odourless, colourless, inert gas. |
Given the spazmastic nature of Xenon (the song), at least on Heavy, it seems pretty clear why it's named as it is.
Also, the song V is, as far as I can tell, titled as such because it is a remix of Winter from Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons (V being a reference to Vivaldi). _________________

Dive- In the lyrics (translated in a version by Paula Terry it goes "Dive deeper into your heart". So essentially it's in the lyrics.
"Oh Nick Not So Quick"? |

1. In the Japanese version they say "Dive into the night."
2. "Oh Nick Please Not So Quick" is a song by E-Rotic. 'Nuff said. |

There are actually a number of songs that I think are titled as such because of the lyrics. End of the Century and Dynamite Rave are a couple that I can think of that the only reasoning for their name would be the lyrics, although Dynamite Rave could be a reference to the popular use of the word Dynamite in the 60s or 70s, as in a "Dynamite!" rave.
Also, believe it or not, there are a lot of sexual references in DDR, which might explain titles like Dam Dariram and Oh Nick Not So Quick. I mean, the lyrics of Right Now are of a woman asking "...come on baby, do it to me right now. Do it to me slowly, do it like you should..." and Butterfly's lyrics are about a woman searching for her little samarai, and it eludes to why she is searching for her little samarai.
Just a bit more insight, anyway... _________________

I read once in a drummania FAQ that it was a problem with translation. the least or last 100 seconds was supposed to be the hardest song so that's where the last comes from. And it's 100 seconds long. |

But the unusual part comes in why they used the word least instead of the word last. _________________

She's a "little butterfly", but she doesn't say she's looking for a "little samurai" |

One that I never understood was why they called it Burning Heat if it had nothing to do with fire. _________________

Actually I heard that Orion.78 is named for the festival of Orion held in the 78th district of something-or-other in Okinawa.
My favorite part about The Least 100 Seconds is that the long version is called The Least 333 Seconds. _________________

Because the song was taken from the second or third level or Gradius 2 I can't remeber which. And the level was called burning heat.

Nope, it's not random crap. 78 -> "naha" when you take the first syllables (as japanese often do... see 573 and .59). Now, there's the "Orion Beer Festival" that happens... where else but... Naha, Japan. (Well, they've started having beer festivals elsewhere, but Orion beer originated in Okinawa [which is where Naha is located].)
Here are some pics from the '97 festival.

Just because you're ignorant of the origin of a name doesn't mean it's random crap. |

It explained it in Max2. Xenon is a rare and elusive element that's difficult to extract. It links to the way the song is because that sound is rare to hear, and it's very unique. At least that's what I think.

Every MAx besides 300 didn't make sense.
Paranoia makes no sense
Neither does Trip Machine(as far as I'm concerned)
Absolute(though the song DOES sound like someone is very "happy")
Rainbow Flyer
Schlaqwerk(I know it's not DDR. But is that even a word?) |
