What's on your feet while playing DDR?

I also have a problem with my feet hurting after playing DDR at home with socks. I start getting a pain in the middle of my right foot. Usually when I play games with alot of jumps. It feels like im steping on a little sharp rock. Its very anoying because once I start getting it I cant play good or fast anymore.

I play in Vans at the arcade and socks at home. Once I wore my running shoes to the arcade, but the heels are kind of raised so it was kind of uncomfortable.

..when I'm at home or at a friend's house, I always play in my socks. I tried going barefoot, but that only causes for major slippage. Plus, when my feet get sweaty, they'll start stickin' to the pad

. But when I'm at the mall, or playing on a hard pad, I think Vans suit me well

i wear this old pair of vans i have. they are good b/c it has a thick sole and good grip on the pad.

i usually use my old skool vans at the arcade and at home on my mod pad, i cant do barefoot because i slip to much

but now i have a pair running/basketball shoes that are baby blue and white

dude TOTALLY my year-old Nike Max-Airs. They've got air cushion in the back (comfy!!) and they have great grip. I never slip! (unless i lose my balance of course

Well, I have the plastic pad so i stick if i'm barefoot so I play in my shocks. Fun, easy. and if you fall its all cool. ^^ but since I have the non-slide pad. I don't fall. ^^

omg lol i just play shoeless...im not really bad but im not amazing, on standard, can do a few songs in heavy, but i cant use shoes with my dance pad

I always use socks... home or arcade. 1) It's just heathier for the machines/pads 2) My normal shoes are really loose and would just come off if I played DDR in them (globe skate shoes) and 3) I have a lot greater level of sensetivity with socks and have attained a certain level of muscle memory with no shoes.

VANS!!!

I started playing DDR almost a year ago, and i've destroyed 2 pairs of vans going on 3.

The tread on the bottom keeps getting worn down to a polished surface untill holes break through.

I still maintain that Vans are the best shoe for me for DDR. i've tried athletic shoes, and they just hurt.
