Where all has he posted it though? I saw his thread, but that's all I noticed. If he hasn't put it in many places, it's not spam. _________________

By request, here are some images of my new BNS DX pads. To save scrolling space, I will show a couple, and link the rest.
1. My setup.
I haven't customized my space for this, I just move some furniture around when I want to play.
2. The lites. Not sure what good they are, but they're here.
3. Compared to MadCatz.
and up close...
4. Compared to CD box. They really are fairly thick once assembled.
5. Here's the foam, showing a "jigsaw" dovetail joint.
6. And finally, here are the Playstation to LPT cables, instructions, and those silly, useless, disks.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Look through his posts. He posts it EVERYWHERE, He posted it in a topic about Ultramix, DDR C.D.s and a bunch of other irrelevant places. |

Ironicly, as one of the few (it appears) people who actually got the LPT cables, it isn't one of the things I was looking for. I don't have any of the PC simulators, just the PSX/1.

I own an instinct soft pad it hasnt really been that bad. It has those stupid pointless light (but its awsome because you can experiement with the sensitivity of the buttons and placements)
the only bad things is that the forward arrow is at the half way point in the center and the bottom arrow is a little father back. |

At last! A reason for their existence. I did think that they might make an interesting diagnostic tool for the pad, but hand't considered their potential as a diagnostic for the pad's use...

Just wondering if anyone's had this problem.
I bought an OFFICIAL Konami DDR pad in the mall back in late December (oh, someone up there MUST like me!), only now to have the back arrow sensor respond like crap. It works in freezes; it works sometimes on individual steps. It NEVER works on jumps. Kinda crazy, no?
So anyways, I call up Konami, seeing I've been playing intensively (meaning Standard or higher for about an hour or so) on this thing ONCE a week MODDED, and have determined that their technical support line must be run by a bunch of bemani-obsessed mice. I called their line, left a message. A week and a half passes. I e-mailed them, another week passes. No message. I call them again, and leave another message. No response for another week. What is up with this?? I expected better of Konami-quality pads.
So now I'm thinking about buying a new pad of Konami doesn't follow through on their warranty policy. The following candidates:
Mad Catz 3.0 or 4.0 or whatever- the newest dance pad they've developed. Is it any different than the original POS or the "Britney's Beat Pad" that they came out with?
Pelican Wireless- I've heard good things from this. Very good things. High responsiveness, non-slip bottom and top, ridges and hard panels to define the arrow buttons. Any testimonials out there? (And yes, I tried searching, but the search engine's... a bit too general in some respects ;;
Naki- I tried them once and was indifferent to them. I mean, I GUESS they were alright, but nothing really stood out (Kinda like my old BNS/Topway pad). Anything new or different about that new version- the DX or whatever it's called?
Konami Official- Dare I even try again? I loved the pad- beautiful responsiveness, great non-slip top and bottom, and- best of all- it was AUTHENTIC. But at $30 a pop... I dunno... _________________

Avoid Mad Catz at all costs. I boughta pad from them and it broke in about a week. Used warranty and got another broke in about the same time. Got ticked off and bought a Red Octane Ignition Pad which has held up very well so far and is quite comfortable.
ALso is it safe to use shoes on the ignition pad??? _________________

Well I think all those are ok... I suggest you investing the money for a red ignition pad.
I'm not sure if this is a red ignition (calls it red ignAtion and deluxe igniton in same thing) but it looks like mine. Also this is selling 2 for 50 dollars and 25 dollars S & H.
My red ignition rocks I suggest you get one. :-D |

Thanks for the suggestion.
I plan on putting the Naki pad on some plywood, though. I've heard they work fine if mounted on plywood. Is that true?
Thanks.
EDIT: Oh, and the reason I want to use an Xbox pad with my PC is because I may want to use the pad with my Xbox or something. If I were to get a PS2 pad, I'd be outa luck (and I don't wanna buy a ps2 to xbox adapter). |

I have the DX, and from the pictures on their web site, it looks like the NX pads are essentially the DX pad, without the zipper foam compartment. If so, you will probably like them, as the main arrows are about 1/8" thicker than the pad base, and the material doesn't seem like it is as prone to bunching up as the other thin pad I have.

Okay, let me ask this again. I need a LIGHTWEIGHT nd cheap mod for my BNS ultra-NX pads please!
P.S. I DO NOT want those cozy pads.
1. I think they look really ugly
2. Since it's such a great mod for ME to use on MY pads, maybe you should get rid of those bandwith wasting pictures and actually tell how to do the mod! OMFG!!!! I IS GENIUS! Do you expect me to do a mod without instructions? |

Chill out man, it shouldnt be to hard to figure out just look at the pictures. Put the carpeting on top of the pad, then a board or something under the pad. And I dont think they are that ugly just do your own design or take your time making it so it looks better. Also i think everyone shouldnt be so mad at him, since no one else has said that they have tried it or used it. So no one really knows how it works.
