anyone played guitar freaks???

ive only played it once in florida... at universal islands of adventure. they had it in the arcade where the exit of "The Hulk" is. I don't think it ever came out in North America though. If any of you have played it too... what do you think of it?

*raises hand* i have the home versions of the game.. it's pretty fun, Not a lot of people like it as much though,

I've played the arcade one in arizona,,i found it really hard, because i have smalls hands and i couldn't wrap my hands around the neck of it.

I love Guitar Freaks.

It's not very popular around here though; Drummania gets played a lot more. But I suck at DM, whereas I'm actually kinda halfway decent at GF.

There is a US version of Guitar Freaks, but only 1st Mix (and a testing version of 2nd Mix).

Guitar Freaks is my favorite Bemani =)
Too bad the closest place I can play my favorite Mix (9th) is in Michigan =/

I like GF, I'm better at it than DM.

My arcade has got 10th mix GF and 9th mix DM. Unfortunatly the sound on the GF is broken right now and the notes played are not heard but the song still plays. DM is more popular right now I guess because of the messed up speaker.

I found out about the hidden modes (Extreme, ExtremePlus, and High-Speed Edition) which makes the game a little more interesting. High-Speed Edition kicks ass.

I own the home mixes. Its pretty good. In fact, its really good. If you have a JPS2 or mod, I would recommend it, but the controllers are a bit pricy I think.

Guitar Freaks rules!! my dad thought he would be so good because he plays guitar in real life but I whooped him. There are a few songs that I really like but they are in japanese so I don't know what they are called. But yeah, GF is the best, I still haven't quite figured out a way to play it without ruinging my fingers, plus the wailing bonus is so tacky that it's fabulous.

I have GF ant home and I just started playing it. It's a pretty cool game. The only thing that sucks is that the home controller look like an old 80s toy.
