Technobowel has designed a DDR metal Arcade Dance pad called the "Dancer v1.0". The Dancer v1.0 is a Hand made, Arcade style DDR pad. These are the highest quality of DDR metal pads. They will work with PS, PS2, and PC (with an additional PS2 to PC adapter). I was just curious if anyone was interested. If you want additional information, email me at [email protected]

I'm sure everybody would want more detail on this pad. Please post the specs of the pad and some pictures.

Ditto. I'm going to have to ask you to add in details, and not just advertise an e-mail address for more info.

Heh, sorry. I was just wanting to know if anyone would be interested in it. These are arcade style metal pad. Most metal pads just don't have the feel of an arcade pad but these do. These pads will come in 2 versions. The Dancer v1.0 and the Dancer v1.0 Deluxe. The Deluxe edition will feature light up arrows and custom colors/arrow graphics. I will post pictures of the pads soon (have to develop them since my digital camera died...). The pricing on these pads is...
Dancer v1.0-----$225.00 Plus S&H
Dancer v1.0 Deluxe-----$275.00 Plus S&H
I'm also offering a Pump It Up version of these pads called, the "Pumper v1.0". The Pumper v1.0 will also have the optional Deluxe package option. There are very few metal Pump It Up Pads and the ones that do exist aren't arcade accurate. The Cobalt Flux pads are great but they don't have the longer corner arrows like a real arcade pad and they don't give like a real DDR or pump it up pad. The pricing on the Pumper pads...
Pumper v1.0-----$225.00 Plus S&H
Pumper v1.0 Deluxe-----$275.00 Plus S&H
For additional information you can contact me on AIM or through Email.

Sorry, but I think after the whole Beat Gear thing people are much more hesitant to believe stuff like this...I think it'd be better for you if you could just build one and make videos and take pictures or something in order to prove to us that it works as well as you advertise.

Otherwise, there really is no reason to take your word for it when you can get a CF for just $50 more.

CF Doesn't have custom arrow graphics

but other than that I want to see shipping details...

I don't blame u guys for being skeptical. Keep in mind, these pads are being made to duplicate the arcade. The cobalt flux pads are nice pads, but they just don't have that arcade feel. I have broken my digital camera actually or I'd already have pictures up. I have already taken pictures with my regular camera and will get them developed soon. Also, I plan on making videos fairly soon. I'm redesigning a part of my website for my DDR and PIU pads. Once I get that done it will have videos for download.

I am very interested in a tutorial as to how you built these pads. Do they use the sensor system like the arcade or a contact system like a homebuilt pad. I built my own using a mending bracket / sheet metal design. A lighting scematic would also be cool. Building my pad took forever and I dont have that kind of time anymore, so I might be interested in buying one if I could get some pictures, especially of the contact system. Do the arrows depress when you step on them or is it firm like the arcade? Are the arrows slightly lowered into the platform? The pad I built has the arrows lowered about 1/8th of an inch into the platform. I don't have enough room in the arrow wells to add lights unless I used l.e.d. lights so I don't think I really have the will to do it anyways. I still want to play doubles. Also, where are you located? Shipping would cost an arm an a leg on an item that size, so if pickup is possible that would be awesome. I'll probably message you on AIM at some point, I am quite interested in seeing pictures. Sounds like a great idea, good luck and I hope this is legit.

There is nowhere to put lights on a CF. I just got mine yesterday and that thing leaves no extra space anywhere.

But as far as custom graphics go, it's easy enough to make new graphics for the CF and replace the default decals.

My only worry with the Dancer pads would be production - if the number of orders picks up, how quickly can they be fulfilled?

This pad does have an appropriate counter-weight for the bar, right?

lol why would it be all fake? Because I've been busy for a couple days? I've got my DDR pad working great now. It works better than the arcade pads but feels like an arcade pad. It's more responsive, and sensitive. I love my pad >_<
These things weigh around 65 lbs so shipping isn't gonna be very cheap. I figured up shipping for a guy who's buying a Pumper 1.0 from me and his shipping is going to be like 55 bux (He's in NJ and I'm in KY). I'll post pictures soon (gotta get that dang roll of film developed).
I love my pad biggrin.gif

The arrow panels are 1/2 inch thick high impact acrylic. It doesn't have a bar but I will eventually make a bar addon for the pad.

I heard that this can get cracked easily.

Acrylic has been known by many people to crack very fast and easily. All the cheap pads, like the mymybox metal pads, are made from acrylic and everyone who has had one has encountered cracked arrows. I also had a pad with acrylic panels and within 2 weeks all of the arrows were cracked like hell.
