When I first started, my calves would hurt from playing so I'd take a day or two to rest and play on the controller to help with my timing. _________________

Well, i can't play regularly cuz I dont have enough money for gas and a game, so thats out.
But how can I be playing it wrong? I havent changed how I play and I never had pains before. Actually...it all started when I started passing "Cartoon Heroes" Standard

that part was ment as a joke. |
oh. anywho...i hope my leg gets better or i may have to gt a fake one =D |
OH! OH! OH! get a peg leg! you can be the first DDRplayer with a peg leg, and you'd also already haev part of a pirate costum |
And I'm going to call you Peg-Leg Pete!!! I get a burning sensation when I play too much. But that's from a lactic acid (or whatever acid that your muscles make as waste) build-up. _________________

I suggest anyone who gets lower back/hip pain to get to the chiropractor fast.

No Pain really.........
I play Heavy (6-9 steps) a lot.......
I play at least for 3-5 hours playing heavy and had little pain.....
Mostly I lose breath and fall down to take a rest or in public and not show my little pain in my leg and sit down in a chair......
The thing that ****s me up and cant play DDR..........

So do I. Though I like playing IIDX better.
Well, one time last year when I injured my foot skateboarding, that prevented me from playing DDR. But what stops me a lot more is my stamina. Every time I play a moderately hard song now, I usually have to spend a lot of time after a song catching my breath. Maybe I'll get my stamina back someday, though. |

Mine was the worst. About a month ago I ripped my thigh muscle playing an edit for A. On Friday I went to the $25 EA all night LAN party woth Loog and Kajet. About an hour into this unlimited DDR party. I feel my leg start to cramp and hurt again. I freak out, and stop playing for most of the party in fear, bored to tears. Towards the end I just try an easy song to see if my leg is better. It was fine the whole time, it just felt weird that second. Dammit! I payed $25 to sit on my buttocks in fear of hurting myself and I was fine. Btw, Loog got 3 new AAA's at that party . _________________

Never let the pain stop me from playing. I'd always play through it... Of course when I did finally stop for the day or whenever I stopped playing, it hurt like hell, but that didn't bother me too much. It's just pain. _________________

i pulled my left hamstring playing DDR on a mat that slid out from under me during doubles. After some ice and about two hours, i was back on the pad practicing (albeit limited to simpler standard songs). I find that keeping on your feet in the less severe cases is the only way to avoid cramps, stiffness, and a sudden loss of control over easy steps. |
