That would be awesome if there were even the slightest chance of it ever being localized for the US. I'm not sure what platform Japanese cell phone games run on (assuming there's even a standard). If it's just Java, it's conceivable that some American phones could run the applet. More likely, it's some proprietary OS/runtime environment. If someone in Japan happened to have access to the game and happened to know enough about cell phones and computers to determine whether or not it would be portable and happened to feel generous enough to distribute it to Americans, a handful of us might be able to play it. As it is, don't hold your breath.
Still very cool though...I know there are mobile versions of Beatmani and Pop'n Music too. _________________

A few Nokias have this Dance2Music game, and from what I've understand, you use the entire keypad, not just 4 buttons. Here's a quote from a Nokia site:
Dance2Music
Dance the day away with this brand new Nokia game. Just choose your character, your level, and your polyphonic background music and then use the keypad to follow the dance steps of your chosen character. Careful, don't let the decoy trick you! Once you've mastered the steps, you can find new downloadable dance partners and tunes to renew the game at Club Nokia.
A screenshot can be found here. It seems to be the one with the girl standing in the spotlight.

I've seen the Hello Kitty little keypads [off the box of Extreme for the JapPS2], but that's about as close as I've come to hearing of DDR for the cellies. That Nokia thing sounds sweet though...Fingers crossed! _________________

Verizon offers a rhythm game for the LG VX4400 (and maybe other phones too) over their Get it Now service...I played the demo and it's actually a decent little game - uses 4 or 6 buttons (I can't remember) and features downloadable songs, so presumably more will be added from time to time. Not terribly challenging or involved, but seems like it would be a fun way to pass the time when nothing else was around. _________________
