anyone use that pad or adapter. I can easily get to the store locally and pick it up to save on shipping. Shipping on pads these days is ridiculous.

anyhoo, any thoughts welcome.

ps. i am ready to mod the pad/fix it if its needed. but i was wondering if im supposed to mod the pad when i get it, or after it starts to not be cool.

thanks all

Best advice i can give you is to look in the metal pad thread in the console forum and look at the first post where it compares the diffrent types of metal pads. Comapre everything, from life expectency to how much modding needs to be done on it. I'm saving for the Cobalts!

I have that pad. It is pretty reliable. There is aluminum on the bottom of the panels which are pressed on the sensors when stepped on. Sometimes it gets stuck on the sensor, whcih causes the sensor to get stuck. The fix, all you have to do it unscrew the bolts and peel off the aluminum. Sometimes the wires rip because of the friction of the stepping. Quick soldering can fix that.

Doesn't feel like the arcade at all though. The panels are polycarbonate, so they're way too soft. But the upside is that they must likely won't ever crack.
