Do you think Sakura should be 10 feet

I'm not trying to brag but I found it to be very simple on both single and double, besides Sakura, the only other 10 footer Ive beat (not including what disney thinks is 10 feet) is MAX300, and Ive only dont that singles,
anyone else share my openion?

1. max300 is easier on doubles than singles.
2. Yes, sakura should be a high 9 IMO.

I'm not sure, It seems harder than most 9-footers, but it's also easier than some (So Deep, Exotic Ethnic), so it could be borderline. Bag, on the other hand. Bag = 7-footer.

For every level of difficulty there's a spectrum of easy to hard songs.... every one of them has an easiest (and hardest) song (If they didn't the progression would be screwed up). Sakura is the one that gets brought up the most, probably because many people consider 10s as being special somehow :\ . To answer the question: Sakura is indeed a 10, because it's displayed as one. It's the easiest one, yes, but it doesn't deserve a 9. I wonder if people would say this kind of stuff about PS and Max300 if there was no Sakura. Then those would be the easiest. Just a thought...

i found Sakura to be a lot easier than some of the other catas i've attempted, and Im really not that good. ^___^

i think I have a better shot of passing Sakura than Exotic Ethnic or Healing Vision AM.

in no way is sakura a 10. i passed it 1st try ever playing it, and AAd it on my 3rd try ever playing it.... its not comparable at all to any of the other 10s, even bag (when on 1x)

Hmmm...maybe it's just me, but I can pass (with good scores) most catas, no problem... But the other night I played Sakura for the first time and I failed it, I got half way through the song and did good up until then, but I still failed it. I can't believe that someone can barely pass catas and then AA that song on their first try

But then again, there are some things that some players are better than others. For instance, I'm really good at fast songs with a lot of steps, but not so good at gallops... so, I suppose it could have something to do with that. Either way, I would say that it is border a hard 9-easy 10.

Just my 2 cents though

Yeah Max 300 hundred is a lot easier on double. But I think Sakura should acutally be something like a six or a seven. The steps are really easy, just fast. I even like playing it on 1.5

People don't say Sakura should be a 9 because it's the easiest of the pies. It's just that, it's too easy to be a pie. I personally think that if there is THIS much doubt about it that there is something wrong with the rating of the song.

Sakura is one of those transition songs that prepares you for the other 10-footers.
Other examples of transition songs are:
DEAD END (9)
THE SHINING POLARIS (7)
Look to the Sky(True Color Mix) (7)
PARANOiA KCET ~CLEAN MIX~ (9) (But it used to be 8)
Healing Vision (8)
Silent Hill (7)

There are many others.

So yeah, Sakura should be a 10.

well i think it deserves to be a 10. because, it is easy to beat, but difficult to PA. with all the freezes, pauses, bpm changes. it can be tricky to PA. but it is easy as hell to pass. so start PA'ing people!

And that's why it is a 10. but I will never solve the mystery of
Paranoia KCET on why that's a 9? I guess Konami wants to help peoples self-esteem. By making an easy 9, which gives them hope,making them more confident and then they pass other 9's easily.

Or they just want to respect the paranoias with a high rating. Because paranoia's are supposed to be hard and intimidating. and a kid will see the 9 foot rating and go, " OMG! IT'S A CATASTROPHIC 9! PARANOIA!"

Anyways back on subject. Try to PA Sakura and you'll see what I mean. Try getting a perfect on that slow arrow! ahahahahaahaha!

i can do healing vision angelic mix and sakura. i compared those two, and if anything should be a 10, it should be angelic mix. but oh well, sakura is a 10, and i can deal with that. it was konami's decision. if there is another ddr mix, and they decide to change it, well then that's their choice

Why the heck shouldn't it? Oooh, pick on the easiest 10-footer...

It's got enough intensity, strategy, and variety to be a 10-footer. Compare it to Exotic Ethnic or HVAM, and you still have to consider Sakura higher.
The issue is probably the fact that it loosely covers more different forms of gameplay than the usual songs. For example, it goes faster and slower, it has gallops, beat changes, 8th note intensities, freeze arrows, and notes ranging from 1/4 to 1/16. When you think about it, the song doesn't execute any of these forms heavily (Ex: Max 300 is heavily based on 8th note intensity), but when you add them up, it makes Sakura worthy of a 10-footer. Simple as that.

Still don't get it? Take Exotic Ethnic. Yes it's a very hard 9-footer, but should stay as such. Why? It's predictable. about 90% of the song is 8th note intensity, and when you get that down, EE isn't much of a challenge. However, you have to incorporate numerous different methods of playing to conquer Sakura. On top of that, you still need stamina, but not as much as the MAXes. To make it simple, Sakura focuses more on an overall strategy, rather than a test to see how much stamina you have, and how fast you can hit eigth notes and memorize beat patterns like most other 10-footers.

Sakura is the most unique, but easiest 10-footer of them all. It is STILL worthy of a 10-foot rating. End of story.
