Hey guys/gals... Ive been a fan of DDR for quite some time but never had the guts to actually play it til recently. Now I have DDRMax2 for ps2 and a Konami pad, which just recently the back button is all outta whack. I didnt really like the pad anyways so here's my question...Im not really that good, I have got through allmost all of Light mode and Ive been playing since Jan 1st. I never really could hit the back arrow mainly cause I couldnt feel the diffrence if I was or wasnt hitting it. So, what soft pad or metal pad would be good for me? I played alot, til the pad broke. So I dont need the Flux pad, but I dont want cheap Konami either. I was looking at either a Red Octane V2.0 pad, or Red Octane Metal pad. Please someone give me their elite advice, Im looking around for $150 a pad. Sorry I didnt look at other threads, but Im stuck on 56K that dies down constantly...So please help. E2.gif

If you are in the market for a durable soft pad, and don't want to bother with extensive modifications, it's difficult to do better than the Red Octane Ignition 2.0

As for hard pads, I really couldn't recommend anything other than the Cobalt Flux... the consensus on that is almost completely positive.

I'm really not sure how the Red Octane metal pad stacks up in comparison.

Look through the Softpad Thread, then ask there if you have any more questions.
