yesterday i finally got an A on kakumei (my first A on a cata), and now today my ddr max 2 system file was corrupted. this isnt the first time its happened either. is it just me or is the ps2 memory card way unreliable?

this also raises another question. do i replay everything, not able to play my favorite songs, or do i find someone with everyone unlocked and copy the file? god i hate ethics

I used to have it happen all the time back when Max1 US was popular. All I started doing was counting 10 seconds to myself after the game's last save/load of the memory card before I shut it off.

Since then, I have had no more problems, with 5 other mixes (Max Jpn, Max2 US/Jpn, Extreme, and Party Collection), including when I play Max.

I think that the game still accesses the game file even when the load/save screen goes away, and must be a easy file to corrupt.

yea you most likely have your ddr max 2 on auto-save so every
time you finish a song it will save, somtimes people forget
about this and shut off the game resulting in a corrupted file.

Cutriss knows all about this subject, but you should be asking in the Arcade forum.
