so there's dance,dj,drum, guitar, conga playing (pop'n is kinda like playing a conga) anyways what do you think will be next? i was thinking whistle where you buy a whitsle for like 5 dollars and hook it up to the machine and you blow a whistle at length and pitch. so you would have to buy a whistle the first time tho. _________________

Whistle Whistle Revolution
OR
Blow my Whistle B1TCH
but, that is a pretty good idea, but I think Konami is done with the series .
Anyway if there was to be a new one I'd say flute.......erm......the mouth peice would be detachable and whoever is using it attaches their mouth peice......arcades would probably see it as a nusinse (GAH cant spell!!) and wouldnt carry the mouthpeices, and anyone who wanted to play would have to buy one and it'll never happen

Hmm...whistle?! I thought it would be cool if they could make trumpet/flute revolution somehow, but then people would like...put their mouths on it. Which is bad...usually.
Or Hyper Eurobeat Violin Revolution! _________________

maybe even like typing of the dead except it's music haha
and i want to see an upgraded drummania, with crash cymbal + ride cymbal + hi-hat with a pedal, and floor tom to add to the hi-tom,low-tom and snare.. and two player mode =X |

They've already done it. Pop'n Music DA! and Beatmania The Best DA!
You can get Beatmania on NCS and you can get both demos on this thread in the Pop'n forum on bemanistyle. _________________

I like the violin idea personally, but it would probably not be made well. _________________

The only new bemani arcade game I can forsee would be a karaoke revolution arcade version. And I doubt that.
It might actually be pretty popular, but not a typical arcade. Unfortunately, the Japanese versions could NEVER become popular here... |

Fixed it for you.
I, for one, would love to see a Violin music game. I know there's already a very obscure one in Japan not made by Konami, but I wanna see how good of a job Konami could do with a violin simulation game.
And.........Pop'n = conga?! Err, might I ask how in the hell you get THAT idea? Sure, you "hit" buttons, but that's about the only thing even slightly similar. It's more like an oversized IIDX, minus the scratch.
Pop'n makes it very clear it, like IIDX, is a DJ simulation game, as different as it looks.
If something resembles conga, it's probably Mambo A GoGo.... _________________

I came up with one when someone asked me recently what my name stands for (it stands for absolutely nothing, btw)
Yodel Yodel Revolution
Uses the same game engine as Karaoke Revolution, but has the additional feature of making everybody want to stab you in the head with a #2 pencil over and over and over again.

Saxmania? Easy? Hah. B-C trills would kill everyone. Or at least, I think it was B-C. Trumpet Trumpet Revolution would be easy as hell. |

B-C trills are the easy ones. C-D, now that's a different story altogether.
I can do them, but it took a long time to get right. |

Any mouthpiece-oriented games wouldn't be very hygenic :{ Fun, but unhygenic. A harmonica music game would be fun _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

I dig that string-instrument idea. A triangle one would be cheesy but do-able, too. I was actually thinking that a xylaphone one would be a cool idea. It'd be a cross between DrumMania and KBM, with a more KBM or IIDX oriented interface. I think it'd be pretty cool!! _________________
