Nope. For a AAA in IIDX, all you need is 8/9 of the total possible EX score.
It doesn't matter if you get goods, bads, or even if you fail. |

I haven't really posted in this thread before, so... hi . I've been playing IIDX for about 2 months, I got 5th style back in October and I was instantly addicted to it . I just got 6th style for christmas so now I'm really happy .
I'm kinda curious how my progress is going. Personally I think I'm doing really good, I seem be getting better every day; what do you guys think?
I've beaten all 1-5* songs, from both styles, on both L7 and 7K except for The Strong Jaeger.
I've also beaten a lot of 6* songs, heres my list: Sync, DXY!, Colors, Frozen Ray, Y31, Take it easy, and VJ Army on Light7; and Gradiusic Cyber, Hitch Hiker2, Rislim, Fly Away, Fly through the Night, 19 November, M-02STP.VER1.01, Free Style, Just do it, Kotti wo muiteyo, Luv to me, Romeo&Juliet, Tablets, and Yesterday on 7 Key.
I still haven't beaten a 7* song... I'm not really worried about them right now, just 2 weeks ago I could barely beat a 5* song and now I'm beating 6's . I mostly get A's and B's, though I do have a few L7 AA's. I finally got around to modding my controller last night too, it feels a lot better now so hopefully I'll be doing even better than I have been. EDIT: Nevermind, I just beat Route 80's 7K so now I have beaten a 7* song ! _________________

Your progress is much, much, much better than mine, I can tell you that much. I've been playing since September and I'm only on L7 5*'s. Granted, I've a bit of a handicap, but it's no excuse.
Be happy, you're crushing the progress of quite a few people, myself included. |

Heylo. AlexMax here.
After doing some Beatmania, I kinda sorta wanted to get into IIDX. So I asked for that for Xmas, and I got 6th style CS and a Rave Discman (ugh, I've got a real controller on order right now...should be here in about a week). Unfortuniatly, my metod of disc swapping didnt get here until last Tuesday...
How can I be this hopelessly addicted to a game? I suck at it.
Well, the thing is, I kinda suck at it at first. But then every single time I play it, I pass something else that I wasn't able to pass before. Either that, or make progress on something I was totaly srewed on. What's more, I'm getting used to faster and faster speed mods. I was comfortable with HS1, until I turned on HS2 to beat Ballad for You [L7], and accidently left it on. I passed Blueberry Strem [L7] today, which i totally didn't expect. In addition, I beat Jelly Kiss [L7] the first time I unlocked it. It's hard, but somehow I'm overcoming it. I can pass a few [7K] songs like Sihloette of My Mind (which is one of my favorites right now).
What really got me, though, was the music. In DDR, there were a handful of songs that I didn't care for or just didn't play. I honestly can't think of a single song in IIDX that I didn't like at least a little bit so far, and I think I've played them all, including the unlocks.
All I've got to say aobut this is wow I'm wondering why I didn't get into IIDX sooner....
And before you ask, I live in NC, and to my knowledge there isn't a single IIDX in the state. And I have no car either. So there.
(EDIT: I see I should have posted in the 'newbie IIDX' thread, but I don't have a question, just giving my initial impression of the game. Please don't kill me ) |

only 4 of the Poors are button-mashed
I can sort of see on the graph a big dip at the end... guess notes really are worth a lot more points at the end of a song on 6th Style _________________

Does anyone else AAA without modifiers? Just a curiosity. Not trying to spark anything... _________________

Well I don't think Night of Fire[A] is that hard to score on. I could get an A on it before I managed to pass the song.
err..anyway, some new notable passes,
A[7](finally, that stupid ending always screwed me up before)
B4U[A]
Regulus[A] (forgot to mention this one last time)
DXY[A] (probably a lucky random)
Kamikaze[A]
Kakumei[7] (not using random!)
oh and maybe 3 weeks or so ago i passed the Safari[7], yay! _________________
