what inspired you to make your DDR NICKNAME??????????

I was standing around with my guitar, and then some dude comes out of no where and is like " wut up foo" then i bashed him to the ground with about seven swings of my stratocaster which I dubbed excaliber. I thought to myself "hmm guitar knight".

I swear I saw this thread like this a week ago... Anyways, my real name's Rex, so it's sort of a nickname in itself.

My scoreboard nick is just "TREX" or "REXY." irl, people call me by my name.

A long time ago in a high school not so far away, I was in the band. One day, our school was holding a big festival with a bunch of bands from around the state, and so they had name tags because of all the new people around that day. Jokingly, I grabbed a nametag and wrote "Gimpy" and stuck it on my friend, despite the fact that he doesn't have a gimp. He went and grabbed one and stuck it on me, and it said "Swinky" on it. When it was time for our band to play, I still had my name tag on, and the band teacher saw it and said:

"SWINKY?!?! Hey Swinky, take off the name tag!" (I was confused at first because I forgot I had the nametag on :-D ), and he went on to say "Y'know, now that's gonna be one of those names that sticks with you forever... One day when your 60 I'll see you and I'll say 'Hey!! Swinky!!' and you'll probably be regretting it."

Well, it didn't stick with me in real life, but about a month after that happened, I started using it as one of my online names. I don't even know where my friend got it from.

I was reading a magazine and there was a joke about learning your Metroid history with "Mr. Chozo"

I liked it so much I claimed the name.

Brigg is the nickname of the character in that novel who most closely represents me.

It would have been "Dartmouth Zain", but "Dartmouth" is an actual name.
