I think if Konami is telling outside news sources it's coming...then I think it's coming.

Yay, I love 7th Style's BGM!

The Magicbox is the last place you want to quote for any sort of reliable news; the website writer struggles with the English language and honestly misreports a lot of information. Just because they say something doesn't make it true.

I'd also like to know who is really surprised that Sound of Goodbye and Never Look Back is absent, because I sure in the hell am not.

Sound of Goodbye = Not surprised
Never Look Back = Surprised

I beg to differ.

He/She usually has the inside scoop and the news is usually more reliable than some "professional" sites along with madman's cafe and Quiter.

This is an excellent songlist so far! A, kakumei, spica, tomorrow perfume, ave de rapina, love me do, gravity, stoic, heartbeat, remember me, burning up for you, E.V cafe, SPOOKY...all my faves from 7th and then some. I just hope they fit in some 8th style songs, i would love to have guidecca, rainbow flyer, attitude, aoi shodou, dual control, blame, and all that 8th goodness. And, i've been wanting to practice 5.1.1. [A] and colors [A] at home, so heres my chance.

I'm gonna like this release a lot, to be sure E4.gif

Exactly, thats what i was just saying to my friend the other day. I can't see a company like Konami, with no apparent financial troubles, pulling a game when they are nearly finished with it, especially after paying multiple thousands for licenses.

Can't say I am really too excited about this release (It's a year too late for me) but I'm going to pick this up anyway. Love Me Do is wonderful, and I like the GUI.

Yeah, this game should have came out around the time Extreme came out. It will be almost 2 years after 6th Style came out. I'm going to get it. However, I hope we don't have to wait this long for 8th Style to come home. At this rate, we would see 8th Style in 2006.

I'm looking forward to 8th Style since there seems to be no tracks from 8th Style on the tracklist. So it's a possible.

Yea, but then again with 80 tracks, there's a chance a few 8th Style songs would make it. However, seeing as how there are ~50 songs on 8th Style, the odds of those 36 unnamed songs being old songs is very high.

This style looks to be pretty good and I cant wait for it to come out. I hope konami decides to ship it sooner if they are picking up work on an unfinished copy of 7th style.

Also did 7th style in the arcade have high speed 4?
I was playing 8th in an arcade by me and I know that 8th doesnt have it but does 7th, cause then most likely it will be in the ps2 version. (not that I need high speed 4 i just want to learn to read when its faster like in max300 i cant read it on high speed one... so i wanted to work my sigh reading speed a little better so i can have it on high speed 1...

I'm not quite sure, but I think no arcade IIDX machines have HS4. I've only played on arcade 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th style machines, but none of those have HS4, so I don't see why 7th style arcade would have it.

If Konami follows what they did with 6th style ps2, then 7th style ps2 will probably have HS4 too. Even though the arcade ver. didnt have HS4.

As far as I see it, the music game trend is almost dead. The success at home is usually a good indictor of things, and with only IIDX and Pop'n having any chance of any future releases... I'd say we'll be lucky if we even see IIDX 7th style out PERIOD (assuming they actually go through with it). The odds of 8th are looking really slim. Maybe they'll decide to let IIDX go out with a bang and release a 7th/8th or 8th/9th hybrid.

Yeah, those holding their breath for a possible 8th Style CS release may just want to give up now.

6th Style sold horribly, and it's taking an act of God to get 7th out the door.

May 13?!

Great, now I'll have to sit through a 2-week winter break, high school semester finals, 1-week winter break, spring break, etc. before getting this. WE'VE GOT A LOSER.

IIDX ( at home ) will only die if we let it die!

The fact that IIDX was allowed to go so long without a new release means that it was dead. But this is Beatmania's rebirth!! biggrin.gif

Maybe someone inside Bemani only now just realized that the IIDX home styles are extremely popular items to buy used ever since they went out of production? Or maybe they noticed that IIDX was taking off outside of Japan ( I think it is! ) and they wanted to give the early adopters and importers something new? Besides, Yamaha is reviving Keyboardmania. And if KBM can get a new release then surely Beatmania can!

It won't be long before 8th Style comes out, as none of the new songs in 8th style, to my knowledge, were licensed, unless you count Y&Co's work.

IIDX is definitely not as "popular" as say DDR is outside of Japan. I think the Japanese bitched and moaned so much they finally decided to release a new version.
