Have any of you noticed, that when youre away from ddr for a long while and head right back into it. You make higher scores?

I mean if it isn't just me, cause I remember not playing for like 5 months due to being busy with school which I still am. And when I went back it was like I had been practicing for a long while.

Since I haven't been able to play that much, I'm getting worse.... but not that much worse.

I just got back into it about 2 months ago after about a year of not playing, and I'm still working my way back up to clearing the harder 10 footers. But my freestyle skills improved a bit ;-)

If I play too much in a given time I'll begin to suck, meaning more than 3 times a week, whereas if I play at my constant which is once a week, I'll be fine. And if I stay away from it for more than a month my pie skills go down the drain.

Keep in mind these are at the arcade, home versions are much easier and less draining in my opinion.

After I don't play for two weeks, I remember how much fun the game is and go try again. When I start out after I've been gone a while, I seem to get a lot more AA's then usuall. If I play everyday, AA's are less common. Wierd...

I'd agree...my skills seem to be improving slowly *which it always has, maybe i'm just a slow learner or something* so I fell perfectly fine playing about twice a week. If I wait longer...I'll just basically go crazy and do whatever it takes to go out to the arcades again. Home pads *which I don't have but my friends do and I use them alot* don't seem to help me improve at all...maybe it's just because I'm more comfortable DDRing at the arcades. But it's true... I left for vacation to Hong Kong once..back then I was still doing light and struggling to get into standard E4.gif . My vacation was about 2 monthes long...and I only DDRed twice at well...compared to where I live, the biggest arcade I have EVER seen in my life. I tried Afronova Revenge on light and BAAAM! My first AA! I was real happy...

I get that yes...but I also get worse sometimes.

I get both. It's fun trying to guess whether I'm going to do good or bad after I take a break.

A game unto itself

That happens to me alot. Earler this year, i dident go DDRing because i went to the crapy fair we have in september and when i came back, my stamina was great. I use to get tired 1/4 of the way on PS but when i came back, i could get to 3/4 of the song done. Even though i fail, i can still walk away not fazed or tired.

It depends. Sometimes I get better, others I get worse.

Aside from that, my stamina almost always goes down in just a matter of days if I don't play. disgust.gif

This happens to me too. But its probably because I play so often I'm exhausted, so when I go back to play it after a while, I find myself doing better because I am refreshed and in better shape.
