Is there *any* way for non-Japanese people like myself to pre-order this game? Will Konamistyle ship to a USA, or any non-Japan address?
I don't know how many of the 10,000 surveys were from non-Japanese, but now I'm starting to think we might as well not have filled any out.

how reliable are they CStar? that price is very cheap for a brand new game under preorder. If they're like Buyrite, then i'm goin Himeya. |

They don't celebrate Christmas like we do, but they do in a way. They all at least acknowledge its passing. So yeah, Konami knows they're going to ruin Christmas. Or maybe they'll get a big heart like the grinch and give us all 7th Style. |

I wrote Himeya back and cancelled my order, feel kinda bad but when they want $85 after shipping for a preorder...
Playasia doesn't want payment until the orders ship and a whole, what? $20 cheaper. Himeya a little proud of their products? Or just a little full of themselves? _________________

I think it's a little of both. As if to say "from the people that brought you the Pop'n ASC and will bring you the IIDX ASC!". Bah, I'd much rather build my own ASC than pay out the ass for what they want, and I'm not about to do it for 7th Style *pre-orders from Play-Asia* _________________

Heck, ya, me too. Damn, I wish UPS give me a discount since I work there. lol Oh well, I'll pay any price to get it asap. By the way, is Play-Asia also contributing to this 20,000 quota...? _________________

I might be wrong about this, but I think play-asia's somewhat confused regarding this whole situation for a number of reasons.
1. At this price, they're selling this game at a $7 loss assuming they have to pay tax and shipping, just like everyone else. There's no way for them to make any money at all by bringing us 7th Style, as the absolute cheapest it's available for is $63 + tax and shipping from Konami. There's no wholesale discount from Konamistyle like there are for normal games, which is why Himeya's selling for $80 + shipping (and making a $10 profit per copy).
2. When I emailed them, they wrote back "we are trying to make reservation yes" in regards to how they are getting the games, and this doesn't exactly give me much confidence regarding the acquisition of the games. I'm also guessing that your orders aren't counting toward the quota at this point, and they're going to try to get the game from distributors or something. Also note that they aren't following the Konamistyle release schedule for numerous other titles, like Pop'n 9 (which is preorderable at play-asia, but not Konamistyle or other online stores).
I'm not trying to discredit play-asia (everyone I've talked to about their service has said it's very good, and they've been very reliable), but I really can't tell if they realize the situation regarding 7th Style at all, or if they can even get Konamistyle-only items. Based on price and emails, I don't think they realize that the title is Konamistyle-only and there's no way to turn a profit on their current price. Though play-asia has a much better deal, I'm probably going to go with Himeya on this one since I know for a fact that they can get Konamistyle items. |

Hmmm...good points, indeed. But unfortunately, many of us (including myself) are unable to order via Konamistyle independently. And I have no idea as of where to find a trusting contact. I tried one once, but he almost screwed me over by just taking my money. And, like Ninja, I don't have the money now, but will definitely have it early next year. I don't favor a single company, but like I described above, I have little options at the moment. _________________

Yay!!! so anybody know exactly where its location testing? If its not too far away, I'd like to check it out myself.
err...oops, maybe we should have posted these in the official IIDX thread instead of the 7th style PS2 thread. _________________

7th Style partial songlist revealed.
2 songs missing so far: The Sound of Goodbye, Never Look Back
3 songs returning os far: 5.1.1., Colors Radio Edit, The Earth Light.
I'm guessing that we're definately getting 7th Style. Though a few liscensed songs are missing, there are some still on the list, and I can't see them liscensing songs for a game that they might not make. |

The impression I get from this is that maybe 7th Style had been started a while ago, and perhaps the songs were licensed for it at that time, and THEN the plug was (temporarily?) pulled. But who knows?
I hope they go through with this.
