if you're talking about arcade mixes, Legend Of Max is the fastest at 333bpm on extreme but if you're talking about home versions, Max. (period) is the fastest going at 600bpm i think on extreme JPS2.

Your first post after joining November 13th? Enh, welcome to the boards.

Well, let's see...as far as I know, the song that hits the fastest moment of all is Legend of MAX, with 666 BPM, but that's only within a slice of Freeze Arrow. Burnin' The Floor (Momo Mix) cranks up to some uber-high speed, but that's for the duration of a Freeze Arrow and one more arrow afterwards.

So yeah, I think the fastest song in which the speed actually means something is MAX. (Period) with 600 BPM as it nears the end.

The fastest song in DDR is Legend of Max (or LoM) on DDRExtreme.

Burning the Floor (momo mix) has the highest BPM count in DDR extreme arcade, at 340/360, i'm not sure which of those it is..but it only lasts for those 2 arrows, so it doesn't really count..

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

The Fastest/Slowest Speed Summary:

Fastest scroll speed: Legend of Max (666 on the freeze)
Fastest scroll speed w/steps: Max. (period) (600)
Honorable Mention: Burnin' The Floor (Momo Mix) (340 on a freeze with two other steps)
Fastest speed for which a song goes for most of its duration: Legend of Max (333)

Slowest scroll speed (w/steps): Sakura (14)
Honorable Mention: Somewhere Over the Rainbow (35, I believe)
Slowest speed for which a song goes for most (all) of its duration: Be in my paradise (63)
Honorable Mention: Bag (65)

The last bunch I put in there just in case anyone asks.

P.S. I dare someone to write an edit to TLoM w/steps on the 666 bpm part E15.gif

Actually you do have to press a left.gif during the 340 BPM section, almost like your step brings the song back to do a sane speed. I suppose it is only one step, but it should still count right?

Hey! You might need another honorable mention on slow...

Ballad For You I think clocks in around 67 BPM... that's pretty slow, yet still fun!
