My select button doesn't work on my MMB 6panel pad Help!!!

The title is self-explanitory, but I know what the problem is. It's just that I don't know how to fix it. The problem is that the wire for the select button is pinched and it is split in half. Someone please help.

why not just strip the plastic off the wire and reconnect with some electri tape? i did that on the circuit board for my meta pad

This exact problem happened to me many months ago. Yes, all I did was strip a little plastic off of both ends, twist the wire on the two ends together, and cover it up with electrical tape. It is a little difficult to work with since there's not a whole lot of slack on that select wire. If you need to, you could just get a piece of wire from somewhere and attach that to each end of the snapped wire. When you're all done, be sure to tape the completed wire so that it doesn't slide under the wall of the control box and get snapped again. So far, I've never had any more problems with the start or select buttons.
