Do U Think Its True That Most Ddr Fans Are Also Anime Fans

If you take a good look at my avatar, then it'll explain a life/hobby outside DDR that I'm still active in, eventhough I was always in Anime and American pop culture way before DDR.

I have yet to meet more DDR players in my area

I only know one...he likes anime, but isn't obsessed with it as I am.

I don't like anime at all. I don't watch it at all and I'm usually very indifferent to it when people mention it in front of me. Although my other friends who play DDR like anime so yah you can see how that works out. I only got introduced to it by my friend a few months ago and I didn't like DDR at all. Haha. I like Final Fantasy though

. Though what I can't stand is those obsessive anime/manga fans trying to speak Japanese when they don't know jack about it. God that's irritating as hell.

yeah its true. but exception for me. i think anime is gay. i hate watching gay cartoons that show stupid characters flying through the air shooting fireballs at eachother (cough dragon ball z)

I like anime, but it's not that big of a part of my life. I don't really talk about it with my friends, except to give recommendations, and more importantly, I'd never go to an anime convention. I'm sorry, but if I were to spend a whole weekend hanging around a bunch of people who are totally obsessed with anime, I think I would have to check myself into a mental institution.

I'm both DDR obsessed and anime obsessed. My favorites are Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Evangelion and a bunch of others that I don't feel like listing

I also like FF7.

Most of the people I know that like DDR like anime (actually are obsessed with both). Either I don't know a lot of people or I know a lot of clones of the same person.

I think the reason alot of anime fans play DDR because DDR and anime both come from japan and if you like anime you probably are a japan nut.(I know I am) So thats the connection right there....I don't see how people who don't play video games or like anime can get into DDR.

Well let's see as for me. I've been an otaku for about 12 years now. Let me set the record straight, RIGHT NOW!!!! My love for the artform spawned from my ever-growing desire to see animation become a true film medium.

I may be part of the minority here, but I view anime as a true perspective on life, because it always seems that every director is always trying to bring his/her own message to screen. (Like any other medium of course)

You aren't going to hear me say some stupid crap about how this (insert title here) is my favorite. Most of you don't even know anything about 1 percent of the shows you have seen. Most of you kids on this board don't know a danm two cents about this medium. Most you people are nothing but poser fans that only watch what's on T.V. and all of a sudden it becomes your favorite show. That just goes to show that you poor excuses for people don't know anything.

It's really sad that most of you people will never really watch all the shows and series that truly mean anything. Shows and series that WILL tell you about japan's past and present. Shows that are so powerful that they will bring tears to your eyes.

Majority of you will never watch the truly great dramas that have been released. Most of you don't have enough brain capacity to understand these masterpieces of film-making.

I"m happy that my reasons for being an anime fan are genuine and not some deluted fantasy about liking everything japanese because it's japanese. When you guys grow up please come and talk to me then.

For some of us I think that it's totally a coinsidence that we are both lovers of DDR and anime. For all those that get offended in reading this post then it was aimed at YOU!!!!

Yeah I'm really into Anime and DDR.. and I know allot of people who are the same way. I think more people who like ddr like anime then the other way around. I really just think its somthing about the Japanease culture. Then again I'm also a huge video game freak... so I guess my opinion has little validity.

If you were to ask me 2 years ago, I would've said I hate anime and love DDR. That's because I saw and I thought I check it out at Scandia not having a idea what it was until playing it more. Now 3 years later, I'm better than I was before and starting to get into anime like Pokemon, Initial D, etc. But yes I did hate anime but even now I'm no true fan of anime yet.
