A lot of people here say they've accomplished combos 5000+ more, I REALLy really doubt they've really done this with a danc pad. These people could have just used their hands to do this, what a bunch of lazy bums, where's the fun in that? Try pumping up a combo with a dance pad and see what you can really accomplish! SCREW YOU HAND CONTROLLER IDIOTS!! _________________

Dude... Shut up. I don't really want to get any warnings or nothin', but you are really becoming an annoying person. What do you have against those that play with controllers? It's like playing Stepmania, right? I play Stepmania time to time and I see no shame in it, sometimes you wanna play DDR but you don't want to get tired and sweaty, ya know?
Sure, MAYBE I shouldn't have said it, but... Yeah. _________________

I'm just saying that those people who brag about their 50g+ combos they say they've done but obviously used a regular and controller should really try doing it the right way _________________

There are a LOT of people on these boards who have gotten Single-Digit Great combos (SDGs) on a home pad, as well as tons of AAAs. They've done it the right way, and haven't even LOOKED at a controller.
And to answer your question, very rarely. The last two times I did it were:
--Playing MaxX Unlimited as an Extra Stage on MAX2 USA to unlock it early.
--Unlocking a few songs on Ultramix.
Both of these times I was tired, and couldn't keep up my normal pace. Plus, I wanted the songs to play and practice on, so I used the controller. Big deal. I also deleted the scores afterwards on the high score lists just to clear my concience. _________________

You know there's a difference between 5,000 and 50,000 right?
5,000 wouldn't be that hard to do actually. Just play in endless mode for about 20 easy songs and youll have it.
Also, just because a person plays on the controller does not mean that they don't play on the pad. I know I sometimes don't feel like working up a sweat and will try using the controller to see how high of a combo I can get. I have 2 memory cards that i use, one has my controller scores and the other has the pad scores. |

I guess we see who the real idiot here is...
I hope you realize there are many great DDR players on this message board that could do 5000+ combos in their sleep on an arcade or home pad. If you have an opinion on something, try to be a bit more tasteful in the future, because your comments are just plain rude... |

People admitted to pulling off their combos in stepmania.
Not everyone wants to play on their feet all the time.
Not everyone has a reliable enough pad to play on their feet all the time.
Locked because this was unnecessary. _________________
