Hi, I'm new to this board and need to ask a quick question on my metal pad, which I bought about a month ago (I got it off ebay, by the way).

It seemed to be working fine until a couple of weeks ago, when the down arrow on the pad started to stick. I cleaned it and it worked for a week or so, then it began sticking again. The arrow stays pressed down very often about a quarter of the time I step on it. I emailed the person I bought it from, and he said to check the wires and the touch plate, but I don't even know what to check. Can anyone help? (Someone told me to replace the foil tape with sheet metal, do you know where I can buy this?
P.S. : I'm pretty sure the pad is cyphergames

I bought the sheet metal as well as the replacement plastic for my panels (since they all broke) from Home Depot.

Every last one of my panels on my Cypher games was busted in two weeks.

You will probably be replacing the arrows in about 1/2 months after they begin to break, and I hope you know what to do when the foil contact system begins to come apart, if you plan on purchasing it.

I didn't read all of this but I have 2 simple Question.
Which pad will last the longest amount of time, and would not brake in any kind of way?

And which pad has a bar besides this one: Linked to Prevent Scrolling ?

I like my new CF. i have had some problems though.

down arrow seems to collect random dirt from the pad, it dented my sheet metal a little bit frust.gif

arrows twitch when im going for the AAA and i move my body to the beat, meh.

other than those, its nice. It takes alot of getting used to due to the flatness

i have 6 AAA's on it... yay

Two month ago I got the Ture Arcade metal pad and I love it. It has a handle bar just like the Arcade and it is the thickest pad I ever own. Much better than the any other pad I owned. Finally I got the pad I love E1.gif thank god!!

Check out the True Arcade Metal dance pad V3 at www.gameenhancer.net . This pad has six functional arrows with the same dimension as the arcade and a handle bar. It's 3" thick and have the improved Poly Carbon arrows that is more resistance to cracking than the hard acryllic. They are selling it for $199USD

In my opinion the only two metal pads that you should even consider buy are red octane's new metal pad and a cf. Even though these pads are expensive they are well worth the money. I think i speak for almost everyone with metal pad expirence when i say that you will most likely be replaceing/fixing your metal pad in a a couple of weeks if it isent a RO/CF. In the long run your not gonna care about how much money you spent, your gonna care about how well your pad works.

Im sure this question must have been asked somewhere, but a search brought up nothing.

What exactly is the "grip tape" that comes with the cobalt flux? Basically, will a CF scratch up a wood floor?
