|
|
Hi, I am pretty new to the forum so I hope I am posting this in the right one.
I need some recommendations.
I am becoming a real fan of DDR and am starting to pass standard songs. (yea!) There is something that I am finding to be a bit of a hinderence. My breasts, or should I say my bras ability to do their job when it comes to "hoppy" songs.
Do any female ddr fans out there know of a brand of bras that works well for the above stated issue? The store names of where you buy them would help too.
Thanks, |

Umn..I'm not really top-heavy...But if you get one that fits really well, it helps. I have a tendency when doing jump streams to lift one of my arms over my chest, that helps too....^-^;;;;;;;;;;
Can't believe I posted here... _________________

Sorry, I couldn't help giggling when I read this, but yes, I feel SOME of your pain. I don't have much to speak of either, but I would suggest a nice sturdy sports bra would do the trick here. If that doesn't work....errrm...... tape them down with ace bandages and bandage tape? I dunno, really depends on the...er....size of the problem. Just try what works out of the advice given to ya! _________________

Bowsergal -- I do that too.
I can't help, but feel I look really dumb holding myself in place while playing ddr. But, I have the same problem with baggy pants. I am sure I look pretty stupid holding them up while playing. I really need to get some ddr only clothes.
I guess I will have to go out and buy some sports bras.
Thanks all. |

I say all of you make videos of yourselves playing Stoic and DXY!
Seriously...from what I've seen (I'm a runner as well), sports bras reinforced by really tight shirts (under a bigger shirt if you feel "exposed") should do the trick. |

That's what I was gonna say - Sports bras are great, but they really don't do much if you're wearing a loose shirt. For me, it's more important to let my upper body breathe, so I stick with loose shirts and a good, supportive dress bra...Okay, so I've probably ruined the bra from sweating so much, but it's just a casualty you gotta take. _________________

We could solve the problem a lot easier if we knew, like Brood Mayran said, the size of the problem. How about you send a pic and we can continue further discussion.

That was a really commendable try right there, I must say.
I've seen most girls wrap their arms around their waist while they play to prevent the bouncing. It's very sad.... for me that is. I don't know what the deal with the bra is. Although, I don't think I should in the first place. _________________

... you forgot Waka Laka and Drop Out...
after all, there's more air in those, than any of the aforementioned songs.
seems like the sports bra is the thing to go with, that's what the girls around here use. |

One problem with that suggestion: too much bouncy bounce can hurt. I'm not that heavy on top, but I do know that if they've got too much swing to 'em, they'll start to get sore and uncomfortable. I have to agree with most suggestions here: sports bra seems the way to go. I wouldn't try taping them with ace bandages tho, if only because it seems that would get way too hot and uncomfortable. _________________

Besides, I heard that taping them down too much causes breast cancer or something.
Maybe I should start wearing a bra... I'm fat and I have man-boobs!

Sorry, not effective. I have a pretty big friend and you can usually see his fat-tits though his shirt. Add to that the fact that I'll occasionally make him do the Truffle Shuffle just to piss off a friend of mine. _________________
