For starters, this thread has nothing to do with the new Karaoke Revolution game that's coming out soon, it's related to DDR, but i'd figure i'd call it that anyways.....

at my local arcade, we do alot of nutty things, especially when we're all waiting to get in our games........ but one of those things, which suprisingly is accepted to even the players playing DDR, is to sing along with the DDR songs.....in our arcade, we sing along to alot, but one of the best things we do it on is during the high notes on Colors.......granted, we're not the best at singing, and honestly don't take it too seriously.... laugh.gif

but to my suprise, i recently visited another arcade where they did the exact same thing and sang along to colors in a jokingly, good humored manner, which i thought was pretty cool........i have been to other arcades, and have noticed that people sing along sometimes or have their own lyrics to sing with the song, just to have a good time with themselves or friends.......so i was wondering if there were other players around who either sang along with DDR while waiting or made up lyrics, and if so....what have you guys been singing to and what lyrics you've made?.......i am really curious to know if there are others out there with similar habits..... biggrin.gif

Yes the idea was stolen from your arcade. Sorry.

One of the funnier things I've heard was during afronova something about your little brother being gay sung during the chorus.

Man, I do that all the time. I'm kind of all over the place though. Sometimes I'll sing along with the lyrics, sometimes I'll make up my own. Sometimes I'll sing other song lyrics to certain songs just to prove a point (Naoki songs work well for that). Sometimes I do an interpretive dance as well.

erm.gif Well...I get carried away sometimes...

we're not ones to sing where we ddr.

But there is a portion in Paranoia where we like to chant "hey, hey hey, hey hey hey!"

...other than that, it's strictly ddr

When I freestyle a song (or if im just playing a really easy one) I sing along but its usually kinda broken and huffy cuz no matter how much I play i still dont have very good endurance. Also, when my friends playing and doing really well and theres like, a huge group of girls around, i start singing just to let them know I play too and im unimpressed with how hes doing E15.gif

I can sing to such titles like DaiKenkai, Aoi Shoudou, Love Shine, Dragon Fly, and Many other Smile.dk Titles, but when I do, I get a swift smack upside the head. No one will allow me to sing... ever. E2.gif

Believe it or not you can sing to The legend of MAX. Exsluding the parts where it says the fly, or energy. At the beginning how it goes DA-DA-DA-DA-DA. You can sing it to be THe-Legend-of-Max E15.gif

I can't stand people who sing along to DDR music. We already look femme enough, don't need to make it worse.

I always sing to DDR, whether I'm playing or not. That said, I'm a girl and a singer, so I assume I'm not embarrassing myself by belting out a few lines every so often. I've made up my own English lyrics to Bre\-/k Down:

Break down! I'm blasting what I love - music
And sending tension out of space...

Something like that...I can't think of it all now, 'cause it only comes to me while I'm playing.

My brother has this inexplicable desire to sing to Trip Machine. God help us all.

I've stopped it because it's, um, stupid, but here's a reference guide for those who want ideas for songs.
