If they made 6 panel DDR then why didn't they ever make 8 panel?

You want 8 panel? Play Technomotion.

But then again, no one plays Technomotion.

Technomotion is a game that was made by whoever company, a mixture of PIU and DDR. Its got 9 panels and has an optional 8 panel play. It sucks dude dont try it ever.

Notice the words in bold, if read in context they only relate to 8 panel DDR, Technomotion never was and never will be DDR. My pride is intact and I rest my case ^ ^.

Ugh I hated the Solo series. fr some reason the arcade that had it put the machine right up against the pad so you'd hit the stupid cabinet -_-

The only local machine before I came to college was a crappy Solo 2000 bastardized into Max 2... god I hated playing on that.

I live on Erford Road in Camp Hill, PA. This means:

Park City Mall is an hour's drive from my house, and it has DDR.

Harrisburg East Mall is only 15 minutes' drive, but it has Techno Motion.

Techno Motion, granted, is not as good as DDR, but unfortunately, it's all I really have in my area (I live in Camp Hill, PA).

Verdict? If Techno Motion is all I can play, Techno Motion it is.

I do own DDR Max 2, however Techno Motion is the only arcade experience I can get that often.

For those of you writhing in pain from me saying I actually play TM, I will say that I'm going up to Park City Mall tomorrow. I MUST play arcade DDR.

Anyhow, back on-topic, I never really got into 6- or 8-panel play. I like the fact that DDR doesn't include them.

I feel your pain. The only arcade near me has Techno Motion. I will never play that game again. It's not worth the dollar they charge for it. 10 cents maybe, but a dollar to buy a headache?

Anyway, back on topic, I like solo mode, and think they should have followed up with it. The only reason it never caught on is because it had the old format and Konami gave up on it before they made MAX. And, yes, doubles is 8 panel. Count em'.
