I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

In some cases, you need to convert the midi into a file format your phone can understand before uploading to a WAP site and D/ling to your phone.
Example: For the Motorola T720, the ringtone has to be an .ems file |
The necessary conversion for a T720 is that it can only playback MIDI 1 files. PSMPlay should do the trick. Also, try using mobileFREE to upload the tones via WAP, since it's most likely compatible with T720 WAP browsers.
Note: Verizon T720 owners need not apply since Verizon locked out their network so only their content can be transmitted. _________________

Wait if i can remember I went to DDR Spot and used my mom cell phone to compose songs. Oh wait someone said this already but anyways some of the songs dont sound right. I did Shining Polaris, Twlight Zone, Final Fantasy Victory Song, and Rythm and Police Gallop Section. Those are the only songs that sound good that beeps. The others I either messed up or the beats arent composed good on their site. _________________

I'm willing to compose polyphonic ddr ringtones if someone will provide me with the tools. I found one program that would convert midis and send them to your phone, but you had to pay for that sh1t. Why can't these people take a hint from the Stepmania people and make it free? What's that? You've gotta make a living? Then get out of the piracy... er... software indrustry. Commies. _________________

I'm using a Nokia 3595 on AT&T, what format should the midi's be converted to? I got one up on a WAP site and the phone says "ring tone received" but when I hit playback it said it couldnt read it or something. Also, if anyone knows of a good, reliable (preferably free) midi composer I'd really appreciate it. _________________

It seems that the file is not properly formated for polyphonic ringtone use. In other words, you might want to use PSM Play (check the first page of this thread to download it) to convert the MIDI file to a MIDI 1 (.mid) file so that it plays on the phone. Run PSM Play and upload the MIDI you want to convert. Then go to File, Create MIDI. Check off the ring tone mode box and click OK. Then, give it a filename and save it. Your ringtone should now be ready for WAP upload and download. _________________

I actually did it with PSM play and checked the ringtone box before I made that post, I suppose I shouldve mentioned that. I'm sure I'll figure this out eventually... but if someone has an answer now then that's good too _________________
