I figured the intro thread would be my first stop here, so here we go...

I've been playing DDR for about three months, and as you can tell by my sig, I'm still on Light mode. However, I'm very willing to learn skills from older/more experienced players, and I'll be the first one to say that I'm no pro at the game

hey im matt. ive been playin ddr for about 5 months and i can pass just about every song on heavy except for max300 and the legeng of max.
i just started posting today 10/24/03 and ya. i still avent entered any comps but my first will probably tomarrow at dl. i live in riverside ca and go to poly high.
i was once praticeing ddr at plk and the 8th ranked ddr player in ca was there. i played with him and but up a lil bit of a fight will hes getting aaa's im getting b's. but ya plk is still a good place to practice ddr because not a lot of competitors pratice there so if ur working on a secret freestyle routine its great.
neways if u live near riverside and r looking for someone to pratice with or something just pm me. im 14 if u wanted to kno. (not single not looking)

Hey there everyone, how are we all today? I've been DDRing for only a few weeks (since 2 Fridays ago when I bought DDR Max 2), but I'm improving rapidly. I'd been stuck on Light Mode with 5-footers until I took the time to read this board and find the advice I really needed (and as intelligent as I am, should've figured out by then): "And God spake, saying "Thou shalt not step on the center panel." (DDR Bible, Book of Laws, Commandment 1.) After weaning myself off of my silly dependency on the center panel, I've been able to decimate 5-footers and am currently working on improving my 6-footer resume. Summary: I learned how to not be a newbie.

I've never played on an actual DDR machine, because the closest one to me is in Park City Mall in Lancaster and I have no car (although I'm 20 and should have one, my situation is such). But I will reassure you (or so I hope) by saying I've played Techno Motion at Harrisburg East Mall. Has anyone ever played this before? It's not been mentioned on the boards so far as I can tell. Summary: I have DDR at home, but my arcade experience is lacking.

For those wondering, my screen name, Ace of Hearts, is a bit of a story. I'm known as Ace when I play on Phantasy Star Online, and for some reason (although it is admittedly mostly me, sometimes it happens for no good reason) the girls are attracted to me (although they tend to run away when they see my pic; oh well *shrugs*). Thus, "Ace of Hearts" it is. Hopefully this paragraph won't scare off too many of the girls on this board; I'm not like that all the time. So guys, if I do ever start hitting on the girls on this board, please do rebuke me. Girls, if I'm hitting on you and you want me to stop, the best way to get me to do so is to kick me. That should settle most cases. (Yes, saying that was awkward, but it's better to say it up front than having it actually happen first and getting banned.) Summary: I'm male, and if I act like one, please excuse my behavior.

Sorry my post was a bit long (and it was my first edit too), but I like to explain myself.

Post Summary: DDR rocks, I'm no longer a newbie at it although my arcade experience is lacking, and I'm a 20-year-old hormone-driven male.

Hey! I'm Jester Capp, a.k.a. JP. I'm 15, and go to Newton South High in Newton, Mass. I first played DDRMAX2 10 days ago at my friend's house... I got hooked!

The next day ordered DDRMAX with 2 pads, made a DDRFreak acount, a Live365 account so I could listen to DDRFreak Radio, and researched all the mixes and various tricks of the trade. I now play DDR at Emerson college all night (no sleep, 10 hours) every friday. I have progresed very quicky, as I'm now able to beat certain mixes of "Paranoia" on light mode, as well as get a good 20 levels into "endless" mode. I've got my first "AA," and am currentlly wondering where the HELL my order is... if they don't ship you DDRMAX cross country in under 2 weeks, are you allowed to punch the mailman in the face?

I've been playing DDR about a month, and just today I beat my last 9-footer on MAX2 (yay!). I'm a lot better at Frequency/Amplitude, but I haven't played those two games very much lately.

hiya. im sword. im 16. i got my name from the shape of a scar on my left shin. ive been playin ddr for about a month. i can aa most 7 footers with relative ease, and i can DO the notes in so deep, i just dont have the endurance for the whole song yet, which is pretty good, considering im 6'3" 225 lbs and out of shape.

i also play frequency and amplitude, and like austin, i too am quite good at that. ::waves to aus::
