Could the Japanese island refer to a Japanese island in general where American/Allied soldiers (tie-in with the don pach/gun fire) sexually abused native Japanese women?

I think "sexin" shouldn't be takin literally, they probably meant "f*ckin" (excuse my language), as in "f*ckin it up". I think it's a Hiroshima reference.

Sounds better then what we came up with. We really had no clue for "Don Pach" We thought it could be a typo and be Don Posh (Port Over Starboard Home... turn meaning best) The it was like "The best leader, best learder, best for now. For the japanease people who don't really care" Sorry if that looks funny but im trying to explain it how we put it. Mabey sarcasm? Like hitler was the best leader for the Japanease people b/c they didnt really care? I dunno... it doesn't sound right though.

Hmm...in the song, one of the few words I could actually make out was "doitsu", which means Germany.

According to "animelyrics.com", where your translation seems to have come from, the line with "doitsu" translates to:

Anime Lyrics wrote:

Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief.

I tried translating the line myself (doitsu to koitsu no chuukuri ga tarashita kanfuki na), but my kind of limited Japanese and evil dictionary stopped it. It's something about "this guy" (koitsu) and "Germany" (doitsu)....hmm...

But, yeah, that confirms the WWII thing then riiight.gif

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html

WWWJDIC: Use it, love it.

It says ???????????????????????? means "firing of guns" and is listed as an "expression." I suppose that could include onomatopoeia, but it doesn't say either way.

Wrong.

35 + 4 / 2 = 35 + 2 = 37. You always divide/multiply before adding/subtracting.

Same reason they put L'amour et la liberté translation Love and Freedom in DDR.

Some odd reason someone that works for Konami has actually seen a bigger picture. There's alot of songs in DDR with meaning to them.

Songs about war, love and freedom...etc.

The way I understood L'amour et la liberté, was it's about erasing color lines and how that we as people can't unite or be at peace until we get over the hatred.

In a way music (just like math) is a univeral language. Upbeat or fast tempo'ed songs are considered happy songs.

I mean look that the diversity of people that play DDR.....age and ethnic wise. It's spreaded like wild fire across the globe.

Personally I think it's a grand way to unify people, thru music and dancing........(yea I know someone's gonna come along and call it an arrow smashing game....BLAH!!).

As far as Daikenkai goes.......perhaps it's a way to say there were mistakes made, and we need to learn from them. Or that if not careful, history can repeat itself.

Damn arrow smashing game (lol j/p) That was truly heart renching man... "And I declare.. that one day, people over every race.. age.. and nationality, will come together in unity.... on the dance floor."

Yeah if everyone has the long versions lyrics please post them. Now that we're all in the same mind frame it would be interesting to try and make sence of it as a whole.

Someone imed me earlier asking if I could post what we deceifered the song as so here I go. Keep in mind the song has allot of room for interpretation and all but the big picture is pretty clear.

Quote:
Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.
Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.

Line1: We took this line as a sence of propaganda but from a different land... mabey german propaganda in Japan showing the "nonsence language" And this is all hapening systematically(firm beat)

Line2: Im leaning towards the whole "games" being played between the 5 countries (england/france/germany/poland/russia) prolly somthing like that. Hitlers using propaganda tactics to influence peoples opinion of him.

Quote:
35 plus 4 divided by 2, the partygoers who don't burst open don't know,
This sociable sound demon screwing into an obtuse angle easily,
They dunno where from or where to, but anyway he divided the sound.
Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief.

line1: 1935 hitler deffies the treaty of versalles and the holocaust begins, 4 years later world war 2 begins with hitler attacking poland, this creates 2 sides, the allies and axis. The people are just going about living there lives and dont realy know

line2: Sociable Demon = accepted evil (hitler) Took this as Hitler is messing up the peace (sound) and defying the treaty easily without anyone stoping him (screwing obtuse angle easily.. obtuse angle=treaty)

line3: Again sound means peace.. they dont know where it came from but the war broke out. (dividing the peace) People weren't expecting hitler to start a war

line4: Rumors are spreading around and no one is really taking them seriously

Quote:
An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves,
If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes
Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this.

line1: This paragraph seems to be in regards to pearl harbor. Alteration in radar represents the americans use of radar for the first time in hawaii, nonsence language is again propaganda putting the americans in a false sence of security about germany

line2: During the attack, most people were sleeping from the night before and after the attack america changed its opion on the war and entered ww2

line3: Think about midevil times when a king would give a priest a staff which allotted them power and land. Think of germany as the king and japan as a priest. Its the idea that people will do almost anything for power. Germany promises japan land in asia and power if they help in the war.

line4: In regards to line 3.. its always been like this.. people have always wanted power and will do anything to get it.

Quote:
From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires,
Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up.

line1: Everybody... the idea that everyone is affected

line2: Think holocaust, everyone is being forced to pack up what they have and move into ghettos and eventiolly into concentration camps

line3: Again the idea with the holocaust.. forced to get on trains and leave to go to the concentration camps

line4: Now we didn't really get this line so much so what we did get came from allot of stretching. We didnt think it was pach.. mabey a misprint and it was posh (port over starbored home, expression meaning the best) The best leader, best leader, best for japan, on the japanease island where they're sexin it up. Think like.. the people are partying and enjoying themselves while this war is going on.. and because of this hitler apears to be a good leader. Mabey showing sarcasm?

Quote:
That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example.

We remember world war two and we respect what happened.. but its inevitable that somthing like this will happen again. Just like world war II did. Think moral of the song here. Mabey i sence that ww2 was inevitable in there also.

---------------

Thats what we got out of most of it. Keep in mind its like 130 and im pretty tired and some of its hard to explain but you get the overall point. I'm starting to change my thought on some parts by what people are saying which is prolly the main reason i posted it.. to try and figure it out in a way that is only possible with a diverse group of people. Keep your speculations coming folks are again congradulations to the people who were able to figure it out

Dans un monde parfait l'humanité
Existe comme un arc en ciel
Avec des couleurs multiples
Noire, blanc, jaune et rouge

Larmes, larmes

****Translation****

In a perfect world
Humanity exists like a rainbow
With multiple colours
Black, white, yellow, and red

Tears, tears
If we continue to live like that
Do it like that
There is a need to unify the whole world
To all live together in the world
Love and freedom is all that is needed
For humanity

Without racial discrimination
Each colour in unison
Brilliant and clear
Giving to the world
Peace and freedom

So after reading 3 pages of logical thinking, I believe you have truely given me meaning to a song that looks pointless.

Actually as an previous user pointed out multiplication or division can come before the other depending on the problem. The same goes for adding and subtracting. That is why it is written Parentheses, Exponents, multiplication/division, adding/subtraction.

Back to topic: I think Des Row is just playing with our heads. After seeing all kinds of wacky interpretations of ambigous songs, he decided to make a completely wacky song and let people like us try to find a hidden meaning in it.

The efforts presented in this thread are intriguing, but the only interpretation I am willing to believe is that the hidden message is how if you try to find a hidden meaning in this song, you are probably crazy!

No offense just my own little theory E1.gif
