so deep is tricky but very rewarding tolearn ! it took me a little while cuz on normal speed tis hard to read but other than that its a very good song!
but another one u have to watch out 4 is frozen ray!Its a very cool song but half way through it the arrows require u to spin and turn away from the screen to hit the arrows properly. If anybody has played it and got to that part u'll know what im talking about! _________________

Actually, many of the people in my area will really spin on that part. Sad thing is, they call it a freestyle routine.
Meanwhile, I half-ass it. I start to turn until the left side of my body is facing the screen, then I proceed to hit every arrow in that sequence facing to the side. I've actually heard people say they like the way I do it better. I don't see how, but I'm not complaining. _________________

A few more tricky songs:
Electro Tuned: There's one measure in that song that slows down from 125 to 116. It probably isn't very significant if you're just trying to pass the song, but it requires carefull stepping if you want a good score.
Gradiusic Cyber on Light: Be careful of the syncopation. The last 8th-jump is tricky for a beginner.
Love This Feelin' on Light: 16th beats and an 8th jump. How does a beginner do that?
Legend of Max on Light: When I first did this, it took a while to pick up on the syncopation at the beginning (not real syncopation unless you think of it on half speed). Also, I didn't quite expect that one freeze to be the one that slows to a stop.
Paranoia Survivor (Max): The slowdowns and speed-ups still get me. Very hard to predict at first.
Sandstorm on Standard: There is one particularly tricky freeze arrow where you must hold the up arrow while pressing other arrows. This can be tricky if you've never done such a thing.
Paranoia Max (Dirty Mix Another): The rhythm in this song is somewhat odd around the four eighth note beats. Other than that, on Doubles Light this song kills (if the really high air rating doesn't tell you that already...) _________________

So Deep, Burning Heat, and Xenon are some of the most overrated catas out there. The steps follow the music, not the main beat. |

I just tried Take Me Away on Heavy in the Trancendence Nonstop.
BEWARE THE TURNAROUND GALLOP!
OK, I'm done.
Oh yeah, something tells me this should be in Gameplay... _________________

this may be kinda obvious, but yes, 10 footers really ARE that difficult. on a scale of 1 to 10 most 9 footers are 7's and 10 footers are like, 30.
Waka laka when you want a flight of fantasy, extacy, rhapsody. Waka Laka ready for you any time. Waka Laka make me FAIL! (step step step JUMP step step step JUMP, gets me every time)
yea, waka laka . . . i can only do that song if I take my shoes off. I dont know why . . . _________________

How have these not been brought up yet?
Healing Vision Angelic Mix and Sweet Sweet Love Magic both have random stops in the middle of the song for only one beat. Everyone who's played either of those has been slapped in the face by that stop the first time.
Daikenkai heavy and oni double steps are much harder than you would think. |

I never found Sana Morette Ne Ente to be hard and My Summer Love is pretty easy but slightly difficult during the run of jumbled 8th notes. So Deep is tricky but first time playing it I got half way through before the steps were too hard to follow on x1 speed. About third time playing it though I passed it with a C. Xenon was also really easy and I passed it first time with an A. MaxX is much harder than Max300 on every difficulty level. I failed standard first time and I can pass most catas. _________________

Stoic. That little stop on oni killed me instantly
Across the nightmare. Easy for me, but really fast. Might wanna keep away from this one.
The least 100 Sec. At parts, it seems off beat. It is, too. Just as long as you can read the arrows, you should be O.K..
Sakura. See above.
Xenon. Listening to it over and over helps a lot.
So Deep. I can flat hidden this. Good for me. anyway, Speed boosts are you'r friends.
I AA'd all of these. Good for me, yet again! |
