There is always a way to add stuff to pads, but dude, look at it this way. Do you want to spend $60 for a bar (not including S&H), and then pay around $160 (not including S&H) for a pad? So then you'd spend $220 and then two different shipping and handling rates, and you still have to do work on the metal pad to get the bar on. If I had the monety for it, I'd spend it all on the $200 one that has the bar in it. That way there is only one shipping and handling rate as well. But that's just me. Other people will probably have better answers, or even better sites to go to. But if you're lazy (like me) then definately go for the one that is pre-barred.

yah i agree but how is the quality of the pad w/ the bar already in? i weigh about 125 - 130 and probably will be using it for 9 and 10 footers which i do a lot so will it be fine (support me) ?
