lol, I guess it is worse than mine:

I just finished stealthing R3 w/ mirror when my opponent selected A. I put it on Oni. Just as the song started, I realized I forgot to turn off the mods laugh.gif . It was embarrasing because this happened in front of a crowd of 20 people watching me, so I had to walk off the machine and wait for the song to finish (my opponent failed anyway).

I don't really have shame anymore(thanks to ddr), but weirdest thing that has happened to me was my frick shoe flew off and almost hit somebody in the head while I was playing exotic ethnic. XD

Although, that was pretty frick hilarious...Ah, the wonders of 53902589832 kabamorujillion turns and shoes that are too big.

Oh...HAHA.. Sorry for my slang...Let me rephrase it den...

one time I was playing this easy song that I can pass all the time right, and in the middle of the song, my left foot was half on and half off the pad, so of course I stumbled and fell off the pad...AND LOST....AAHAHAH disturb.gif
And then another time, i was playing this fairly easy song, and my bro was next to me shadowing, and when I started to dance, ooooooo don't you just get that feeling when you need to fart... riiight.gif Yea I farted. But it all came like in little clumps, if I should say... But man, thank goodness that no one else was there E4.gif

And to answer your question, I'm a HS senior ok....

Don't remind me...

I paid my stupid old DOLLAR FIFTY FOR THREE SONGS at my gay arcade, started with a warm up(Stomp To My Beat Hvy), and I had a brain fart, and died after like 30 secs...

I hated that.

Yep, another falling off the machine story riiight.gif

I was at Park City before they got a DDRExtreme machine, when they had the 7th mix machine up against the wall. Anyway, I was using the 2P side of the machine since the arrows weren't as screwed up on that side. I was playing Insertion Heavy. I'm about half-way through the song, I've made it past the stop, and tempo changes, and I'm to the part of the song that is a long stream of arrows intermixed with gallops/skips. Well, on one of those gallops I was supposed to hit the right arrow. Somehow I misjudged my position on the pad horribly, had my foot go twice as far as it normally does, and I suddenly felt myself falling. I landed without falling on my buttocks, and looked around, embarrassed. I then jumped back on the machine, but to no avail, I couldn't regain the life I had lost and I failed. I dunno if anyone saw me fly off, or if they just were being polite and didn't laugh out loud.

The other embarrassing moment was at Otakon 2003. I came down for the DDR tournament, and we're given time to warm up. I get on the pad, choose Dead End and begin to play. Keep in mind we're on Red Octane Ignition 2.0s (which were slipping and sliding all over the floor, and my play style at the time was not suited to that), and I'm playing in my socks (which I hadn't done in like 2 months since I had started playing on a Cobalt Flux). I got somewhat careless in my steps, kicked my foot forward while going for the up arrow, and kicked the control box on the front of the pad, which proceeded to break in half and slide across the floor, all in front of a ton of people (some of which post on this messageboard). I felt extremely stupid, because I had kicked the control box on my Cyphergames Iginition pad dozens of times, and that had never happened. Needless to say, I didn't do well at the tournament, because I was too concerned about repeating that same action again while playing. Still managed to get seeded, although I lost in the first round E15.gif

My little brother (eBug) was playing Max 300 standard doubles, and on one of the runs across the pads he - you guessed it - stepped right off the pad. But since he was planning on his foot hitting something he was still on his feet, just crouching sort of on and off the pad. All I could think was, "Oh damn, he's gonna fail." Everyone watching kind of let's out a collective gasp, and he simply picks up his left foot while pushing his body up with his right foot, spins around towards the screen and hits the very next arrow (the first player side left arrow). When he cleared the song he was like, "What? It's my freestyle. You know, falling off and stuff.."

La Bamba. It's La Bamba. I was actually choosing another song, until somebody scared me, and I was so freaked out, my head hit the DDR machine! When I was slipping down, I accidentaly pressed start when the cursor was on La Bamba, and I failed after 15 seconds. It was on Heavy Mode. Bad times, baad times. frust.gif

Tonight I was playing Heaven (doubles, std) and I do a crossover and slip and fall on my stomach. I get back up and get confused and failed. I was doing this on a MyMyBox 6panel pad and a Konami softpad. After I finished I started laughing so hard at myself. laugh.gif

Ok, sometimes, I am such a clutz, I don't even know HOW I can play DDR! But alas, several times... ok, way too many too count... I have fallen off the dance pad. Misjudge space, slip and fall, avoiding a little kid and smashing my face on the screen... yeah, I've even run up the the bars, supported myself on them and did a straddle (toe touch without touching the toes E4.gif ) in mid air, like I always do. One time, I went a little wrong on my straddle, and twisted my ankle. My boyfriend was busy getting me some water, so he didn't know. When he came back, I was busy doing CSFIL Speed Mix on Heavy. After that one song, I made him take over. To this day, he still doesn't know why. riiight.gif

Also, not only do I fall off all the time, but my pride when I fall off... eh, it doesn't matter anymore! laugh.gif I'll fall off in front of about 20 people (which is a lot in my arcade) and some of them gasp, or are like, "Are you ok?" but I'm usually too busy hopping back on the dance pad to finish up my song. And you know, I don't think I've ever failed a song from falling off the pad... stepping on wrong arrows, yes, but falling off the pad... nope! E7.gif

I laugh at you all. Now snicker at my misfortune.

Bag on Beginner.40-some steps. Easy freestyle, right?

Bagpipes are Scotch, right? And isn't Riverdance from that area of the world, too? Let's make funny!

I am an idiot.

My Riverdance imitation usually has me remaining on one spot.
In the CENTER of the Dance pad.
The METAL NON-SENSORING-CENTER of the Dance pad.
Did that for about 30 seconds, then realized that was NOT freestyling. That was losing terribly and looking/being an idiot.

This happened less than 12 hours ago.

LOL! Ah, that's made my day. E1.gif

Not as bad as mine, though - I had this whole routine made up in my head, but had never actually done it to music. I went to my local arcade on a Friday night (yes, Friday night, in the biggest mall in the Southern Hemisphere) and proceeded to do my routine.

Well, I was facing away from the machine, and when I started, people went from looking impressed to laughing hysterically. I took that as a good sign, as the mvoes were kinda funny. About a minute later, someone points out to me that I had, indeed, failed the song and that I had been dancing to the credits for quite a while. E4.gif

Very embarrassing.
